LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Review
27 June 2011
Conclusion: – The gameplay is exactly what you’ve come to expect from a LEGO game, but the graphics look better than any LEGO game before. The issue is more a matter of the franchise it’s tied to, which isn’t as memorable or charming as the other movies with LEGO tie-ins and thus doesn’t provide the same number...
Lego Pirates of the Caribbean – Review (PlayStation 3)
7 June 2011
Conclusion: A solid game that’s perfect for families with children, both small and big alike. While there are a couple problems (mainly controls and lack of co-op) and a few quibbles (Story structure could have been done a little better; the ability to save mid-level), Lego Pirates of the Caribbean is still a...
Summary: Our only gripe with the game is the same one leveled at the Harry Potter LEGO game. The camera angels are still bad in places, and while you have the seamless split screen for multiplayer, those pesky camera angles certainly can get in the way of your fun - i.e.

Excerpt: Set sail for plastic plundering Oh come on now, why are you here? What’s the point in me writing any of this down, it’s about a Lego game. You know you’re going to like it, it’s in your veins. Ever since the dawn of mankind, our DNA has been harboured to hunt, mate and slay Sticklebrick aficionados.
Pros: Enjoyable platforming comes as standard, Great sense of humour, Tons of collectables, Constantly rewarding
Cons: Feels like there are missed opportunities for combat, Large parties of allies can cause some confusion
Conclusion: The franchise's cheerful charms has turned to Pirates and, truth be told, has found it's perfect partner in the comedic and set-piece rammed tale of Captain Jack Sparrow and chums, and spectacularly makes something decent and worthwhile out of two overblown sequels.
Pros: + Another winning marriage of movie and block. + Each film section feels different enough from the others.
Cons: - Nothing new to add to the Lego franchise. - Battlefields get too chaotic.
