Pinball Hall of Fame – Williams Collection

Hardcore Gamer
12 October 2009
  • Summary: Pinball Hall of Fame – The Williams Collection will come as a nice surprise for anyone who ever found themselves in a dark game hall back when you could still find pinball tables in them. Williams was arguably one of the most important pinball machine manufacturers, and it should come as no surprise that a game featuring their brand should have their tables.

Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection

Playstation Illustrated
6 October 2009
  • Excerpt: As a kid I always loved to play pinball, even though I never was any good at it. Through the years, I've owned a few pinball games for the PC as well. Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection has gone a long way in teaching me the secrets that I was missing to pinball.

Pinball Hall of Fame: The Williams Collection Review

Strategy Gaming Online
28 September 2009
  • Excerpt: For those who have been gaming long enough, it's hard to deny the major role that pinball machines played in building today's video game industry. I was barely tall enough to see through the glass by the time that video games started crowding out pinball machines in local arcades, but sometimes I forget that many of today's gamers weren't even born by the time most arcades in the US had started to go out of business.

  • Summary: The Williams Collection, which features thirteen of the titular company's vintage pinball machines from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, comes the closest that any pinball video game ever has to replicating the experience of playing a real pinball machine.
  • Pros: Great controls., Realistic physics., Almost feels like real pinball.
  • Cons: Viewpoint resets at every table., Not all tables unlocked to start., No online tournaments.
