Summary: Altought I am a Brazilian fan of EA's NHL franchise, I bought this ps3 game because his excellent price (US$ 3,00). What a HUGE surpise.... The game is very smooth with great sound and outstanding graphics. Congratulations to 2K A negative issue is when we unlock the older teams eg.
Summary: Don't be misled by reviews from people who've said the gameplay and/or stats are unrealistic. Everything in the game can be adjusted through the use of sliders that control every aspect of the game. Someone mentioned 80 shots per game at 10 minute periods. I play full 20 minute periods, real time, and neither side gets near 80 shots a game. Why? Adjustments.
Summary: As we move into the next generation of gaming, sports games seem to be fitting in nicely. With Sega bringing their 2K series to the 360 and PS3 gamers have a good reason to be happy. I have never been much of a hockey fan but when it comes to good hockey video games that's another story. I have always enjoyed the fast paced grinding action that these games present and NHL 2K7 is without a doubt the best so far. The presentation is excellent.
Summary: Quite possibly the best "sport" related game for the first wave launch. The graphics are awesome. I'm not even that big of a hockey fan. The ice looks outstanding. I too was a big EA supporter, not anymore.
Summary: This game absolutely blew me away. I'm a huge hockey fan, and in the past I've always gone with EA's Live series. For whatever reason, EA couldn't get their stuff together to release a version of Live for the PS3, so i went with 2k for once. I must say, screw EA. 2k's realism is top notch, the puck handling is super-intuitive, and the new camera angle makes all the difference. If you're lucky enough to score a PS3 this season, make SURE you grab this game..
Summary: I bought three PS3 games on launch: Madden, NHL 2K7 and Call of Duty. Of the three, I like this one the best. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay is fantastic too. If you bought the EA NHL series in the past, do not hesitate to purchase this game - it is all that and more. The only flaw - and its a very minor one - is that the menu screens look pretty unimpressive and more like PS2 quality. But really, who cares about that?
Conclusion: For this price i bought it not bothering if it was going to be rubbish. But however i was plesently surprised because although the graphics arent amazing, the gameplay is with lots of things to unlock.
Summary: Very solid game with tremendous amount of value for money. Many different modes and extras. Season and Franchise gives the game an enormous amount of longevity and you can really work hard on getting your team to the top. On the negatives and after playing it regularly for some months, unlocking certain teams is a bit more challenging that needed. Also, some of the loading sequence gets a bit dull. Menus could have been a bit more animated.
Summary: Play your style of hockey at both ends of the ice, with on-the-fly coaching Control your offensive flow by effortlessly crashing the net, screening the goalie or pinching your defensemen Counter the attack by clearing out the crease, setting up a break out for an offensive rush, or clearing the zone Incredible new Character animations for goaltending, checking, shooting and passing bring you authentic on-ice action An unsurpassed franchise experience hinges a team's...
