Summary: I have never owned a hockey game, but the playoffs got me more interested in hockey. I couldn't wait for NHL 14 to come out, so I bought the 13 edition. I have not been disappointed with it. Really enjoy the creation part and putting your own player through what an NHL player goes through. Very exciting game.
Summary: I bought this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and he really loves it. It's not worth much more than the regular edition, but it is now close to the same price, so it is definitely worth it now.
Summary: My review summary basically sums up this game. Sure the graphics looks great and the sounds is nice and everything but what's the most important thing in a game? THE GAMEPLAY, and how is the gameplay in this game you asked? IT'S TERRIBLE!! Well, not really terrible if you're playing as a goalie, but if you're a player, oh man, that's when the TERRIBLE controls comes into play.
Summary: This game keeps me entertained during the off season. The improvements over last year really change the flow of the game. The true skating forces you to think about your moves. The Stanley Cup Edition I am not sure was worth the extra price. Yes it gave some bonus content but I don't think I'll be ordering this edition again in the future, I'll be going back to the regular edition of the game.
Summary: The game is great: its really fun to play and its a great game to play with friends. However, I've been playing EA Sports games since 2005 and this is by far the glitchiest game I've ever played. Skaters get stuck offside, the puck freezes in mid air, music keeps playing during the game etc. Another annoying thing about this game is that the difference between two difficulty levels is so huge that I can't even decide if I should play against the CPU.
Summary: EA NHL series just gets better and better. This game is not much different than NHL 12, so if you are new to the series, get 12 on the cheap. If you are a die hard, then the new skating physics, graphics, animations makes this a good upgrade.
