Summary: Pretty standard as far as NHL games go. You pretty much know what you are getting. I hadn't played EA NHL since 2006, and there were certainly some improvements made to the game in those four years.
Summary: I've had a PS3 for 6 months but before that, I had a PS2. When I got rid of my ps2, my sports games and all of my other games went with it. I picked up the cliche games when i got my ps3 (COD, battlefield, etc), but recently got tired of all games being shooters.
Summary: This is no NHL Hitz, kids. You can just one-time it into the net everytime. This is a hockey game you gotta play SOBER. Expect a lot of one nothing games when you are first starting out and don't be too hard on yourself. Accurate depiction of hockey.
Summary: I am new to this NHL game (as well as EA team sport games) so cannot speak to the games playability in the full game mode... but I'm super impressed with the graphics! I look forward to learning the ins and outs of the controller and hope to be skating with the best of them soon.
Summary: I tried this game at a friends house becasue he kept asking me to play. Normally we play NBALIVE10 or NCAA 11 but he was insistant that we play hockey. I don't know anything about hockey...at all! But hey what are friends for, I played. I had so much fun! Just skating around felt so fluid and real.
Summary: My all-time favorite NHL game was NHL 08. Since then, NHL 10 has changed my mind. I think the game fully utilizes the community with modes such as Be A Pro online, etc. I used to play the traditional team play, but have found Be A Pro to be very addicting.
