Summary: NHL 10's pretty good. It places a premium on homing your skills before you actually play. I;m just fine with that, but the game wants to teach you how to start a fight with a player from the other team. I know that's a part of hockey, as well as sports in general, but who wants to learn how to do that? The gameplay is pretty good, so I don't really have a problem with this game, it's very good.
Summary: I'm not a big hockey guy buut wanted one to include in my collection. I've only played a few NHL games from the 90's and this one gives a seamless transition for old-timers like me. The gameplay is smooth and defense, passing and shooting are very realistic. Wish there was a bit more control of the goalie and a bit more you could do close to net on offense. You can barely tell what's going on in there.
Summary: This Is My NHL Review There seems to be a lot of talk about which game is better NHL 2K10 OR NHL10. After playing both games I can now make an informed decision. Nhl 2k10 is a very user friendly game. The game play isn’t too complicated for non-hockey fans, and for hockey fans it can deliver very exciting game play. What I liked most about 2k10 was that is very fun to play and very simple.
Summary: i think nhl 09 is better for several reasons the gamplay is alot faster the boards trap play in nhl 2010 is so stupid that is like the only thing that is new besides the new gear you can choose from and the playoff crowd but really thats all they could come up with ive played hockey my whole life i mean did they run out of ideas for this years nhl game heres some things they could have put in for this years game broken sticks, delay of game,to many men on the ice...
Summary: I've been playing the NHL games since NHL 97, and I have to say they haven't gotten it right yet. Don't get me wrong, I do love this game. But there are certain things that I keep seeing year after year after year that are bad and they don't fix them! For example, it's a horrible idea to have the default pass button be the same button that changes the player you control. There are so many instances where you think you have the puck, and you don't.
Summary: I have been looking for this game for ages and when I found it on Amazon, the price was a bit expensive but it was worth every penny. The only down side to this game is that the online function doesn't work, but apart from that, fantastic game.
Summary: Really a nice one, EA Sports! This years NHL is not the usual yearly roster update, but a nice step ahead in the series. I really like the first person fights and the better Be A Pro-Mode. The only problem is the loooong loading time of several features like the Be A Pro-Shop.
