Summary: Pretty standard as far as NHL games go. You pretty much know what you are getting. I hadn't played EA NHL since 2006, and there were certainly some improvements made to the game in those four years. If you are looking for a cheap PS3 hockey game and don't mind out of date rosters, this is the game for you.
Summary: I've had a PS3 for 6 months but before that, I had a PS2. When I got rid of my ps2, my sports games and all of my other games went with it. I picked up the cliche games when i got my ps3 (COD, battlefield, etc), but recently got tired of all games being shooters. I picked up the Orange Box, and Portal 2. Once I finished the Portal series (or at least what has been released of the Portal series), I began playing the Half-life 2 portions of the Orange Box.
Summary: This is no NHL Hitz, kids. You can just one-time it into the net everytime. This is a hockey game you gotta play SOBER. Expect a lot of one nothing games when you are first starting out and don't be too hard on yourself. Accurate depiction of hockey. Altho I gotta say their rankings for foreign league teams are a bit generous. Some of them get ratings of 84 which is on par with NHL teams. Seriously?!
Summary: I'm not a big hockey guy buut wanted one to include in my collection. I've only played a few NHL games from the 90's and this one gives a seamless transition for old-timers like me. The gameplay is smooth and defense, passing and shooting are very realistic. Wish there was a bit more control of the goalie and a bit more you could do close to net on offense. You can barely tell what's going on in there.
Summary: I am new to this NHL game (as well as EA team sport games) so cannot speak to the games playability in the full game mode... but I'm super impressed with the graphics! I look forward to learning the ins and outs of the controller and hope to be skating with the best of them soon. From seeing an older version of this game... the graphics have made a giant leap forward which for me is a huge aspect of enjoying the game!
Summary: I tried this game at a friends house becasue he kept asking me to play. Normally we play NBALIVE10 or NCAA 11 but he was insistant that we play hockey. I don't know anything about hockey...at all! But hey what are friends for, I played. I had so much fun! Just skating around felt so fluid and real. The way the controls are for trying to get a shot feels dead on. And scoring is hard. So every opportuity feels important. Just a well designed game.
Summary: This Is My NHL Review There seems to be a lot of talk about which game is better NHL 2K10 OR NHL10. After playing both games I can now make an informed decision. Nhl 2k10 is a very user friendly game. The game play isn’t too complicated for non-hockey fans, and for hockey fans it can deliver very exciting game play. What I liked most about 2k10 was that is very fun to play and very simple.
