Summary: EA lost their way with this one....change ingame studio cost them an illustrious legacy however nothing ventured nothing gained. you can skip this game....it was terrible, a few hours of my life EA will never give me back but i am still a believer in nd4spd just not this copy.
Summary: As a long time follower of the Need for Speed franchise; once again I have to said that this game was a disappointment! I am convinced that EA has totally lost touch with what consumer wants from the game.
Summary: This game has some problems. There is something wrong with the difficulty curve. I am a decent driver and was not able to get close to passing some courses even after 20+ retries on hard mode.
Summary: Going from Gran Turismo 5 and Hot Pursuit to "The Run." This is the problem with Run: Controls, Changing vehicles. Those two huge aspects make this game not worth buying. I would go with Gran Turismo 5, way more deepth more of a challenge and fun at that.
Excerpt: Introduction Need for Speed: The Run is the 18th game in the Need for Speed series it's developed by EA Black Box and Published by Electronic Arts. Need for Speed: The Run uses DICE'S Frostbite 2 engine.
Pros: Great Graphics, Good Frame rate, Well throughout storyline, Enjoyable concept
Cons: Repetitive Game play, Same tracks used turned around backwards, Poorly made, Storyline is short
EA Still Not Living Up To Underground 2s Brilliance
27 February 2012
Excerpt: From all the advertising this looks like a fantastic game where players race across somewhere. Its not. The races are okay, but after you've done them all, there isn't anything else to do. No side missions or cruising mode or police chases.
Need for Speed - The Run - EA's big let down from 2011
14 January 2012
Excerpt: There was a time when I was addicted to racing games. Racing games have always being exciting and fun as it gives the maximum adrenaline push of all video genres as you make your way past the finish line. It is a sense of achievement.
Pros: Great graphics, Excellent concept
Cons: Lot of technical flaws, Bad balance, Blotchy gameplay
Summary: I don't understand why this game is worse than NFS: Hot Pursuit. That game was a very good arcade racer. This isn't. You feel like you're playing partly controllable cutscenes throughout the game. I know it's an arcade racer, but the handling of the cars is just horrible.
Summary: This game is okay, I not gonna slate it and say it is complete rubbish. I just want to make those players of other need for speed games aware that this is not as good as previous titles. Its biggest drawback is the lack of free will that I have come to expect in need for speed titles.
