Need For Speed: Most Wanted Review

  • Conclusion: Burnout Paradise 2.0 is a lazy reference, but we’re going use it anyway. In fact, we probably should’ve started this review with that and avoided the 800 words of filler. Still, Need For Speed: Most Wanted is easily the best arcade racer this generation.

  • Excerpt: just didn’t live up to the franchise’s usual high standards), the racing gurus at Criterion Games have delivered a gem that fans of the long-running series can really sink their teeth into. …yes, I’m being grammatically incorrect because saying “into which the fans can really sink their teeth” just sounds weird. Anywho, welcome to Fairhaven, where the most wanted racers await your challenge and the cops are lurking, just waiting to bust your thrill-seeking ass.

Game Informer
30 October 2012
  • Conclusion: Concept: Combine Criterion’s Burnout Paradise with the traditional cops from the Most Wanted series Graphics: A lot is going on at any given moment, and things like medians can sometimes be hard to pick out. The damage, crashes, and overall vibe are great Sound: If you pay attention to the police chatter, you can tell what they’re going to do Playability: The cars are fast and loose, and the rubber-banding is a necessary evil that helps make races intense Entertainment:...

Need For Speed Most Wanted

Digital Chumps
30 October 2012
  • Conclusion: After a couple hours with Need for Speed Most Wanted you get the feeling that Criterion isn't interested in what other racers - even those under the Need for Speed umbrella - are doing. They're confident in their own ideas, and with Most Wanted they finally broke the needle off their design tachometer.

Need for Speed Most Wanted U

28 March 2013
  • Pros: Grafisch zeer sterke titel, Zeer stabiele framerate, Gratis DLC-pakket, Mooie Miiverse-integratie
  • Cons: Premiumprijs voor het spel, Af en toe een hardlock van de console tijdens het spelen
