Excerpt: By giving two games an identical name, EA didn’t make our lives easier. Previously the Medal of Honor reboot got the same name as its predecessor and now Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit makes our database sweat.
Conclusion: It's just plain fun. No other way around it. Criterion managed to bring back a series on the brink of collapse and make it into the best racing game of the year. Try to fill up your friends list with racers, though, as the experience hinges on it.
Summary: This game is so much fun that it’s easily one of my favorite games of all time on the PS3. I am glad to see a remake of a game that meant so much to me in my younger days that is actually better than the original. This is the game to get for fans of racing games this Christmas.
