Pros: 1) Lots of dunks 2) Awesome gaming experience 3) Loads of features 4) Free online through PS3 5) Live Rosters
Cons: 1) Inbound passes easily being picked up by defence 2) When opponent quits during on-line game, it does not show up on the stats. 3) If a player is on fire, makes most of 3-pointer 4) A defence player appear out of nowhere
Summary: I've been an NBA Live guy my whole life but I must say that NBA2K takes the cake for this year. Since XBOX360 and PS3 came out, the games have focused way too much on extra features (which are incredible if you have 5 hours a day playing video games) and not enough time on the gameplay. I'd rather play NBA LIVE 2005 on PS2. Graphics are sweet in 09 but simply not fun to play.
Summary: the last live i played that was any good was 2005. i thought that since this was 09 and it has the 365 and all that hype i heard that this would've been a good buy. it is not, the 365 is cool but the gameplay to me is absolutely terrible. there is no rhythm at all with the players. the shots look like shots taken by girls from the wbna.
Summary: NBA LIVE has a better playcalling system, drops down on the break really easy that's my favorite new edition, outside of LIVE 365. But LIVE 365 has a dark shadow across it, because the gameplay is still not up to par with NBA 2K9, not even close guys. This game is easy as pie to pick up and play. Online is pure garbage still straight dunking, but the connection is great and the game lobbies are great. The pick and roll mechanic is nice.
Summary: This game is not all that because in an effort to make it more realistic the gameplay itself is sacrificed. The players mimic theselves in real life but just as in real life the majority of the players are slow and stiff, such as Shaq.I think they need to create a live with the realistic look but with the gameplay of a say NBA LIVE 04.
Summary: I've played the Live series off-and-on since 96', and think that the gameplay just hasn't been the same in the last few years, especially compared to the 2K series. I have 2k8 and have played 2k9 and they just feel more fluid; the gameplay is faster, the controls are more responsive, and 2k is simply more fun. The good with NBA Live 09' - The 365 is awesome. It is great to have constantly updated rosters, the hot and cold streaks, and the ability to play recent game.
Summary: Ah well, if you haven't played a bball game in a while, like I hadn't before buying NBA Live 09, it may take a while until you get the hang of the controls, but it's not going to be long before you start winning games. As soon as that happens, you will start realizing several of the faults the game has: on graphics, physics, intelligence. A true basketball simulator, it is not, but I suppose it is OK for a more arcade experience.
Not bad could be better, doesn't live up to the hype!

Conclusion: When i downloaded this game it did look very good and I felt EA Sports have deliverd a good game finally in the franchise as it has been a while. So i bought it as i have all the nba lives from when it first came out. Unfortunatly it still has a lot of glitches like the game sometimes freezes after a time out is called and the game gets stuck on loading when you have finished playing a game, which can be very annoying especially if you have just won the game as it is...
