Excerpt: This review is from: NBA 2K12 (Covers May Vary) (Video Game)The strongest part of 2K has always been presentation, and they really took it to the next level with 2K12. The court looks amazing, the players seem twice as real and detailed, even with 2K11 doing a pretty good job last year. No more alien faces or generic-looking bench players.
Conclusion: The Association also returns, but unlike the My Player mode there are no major additions and improvements to the game. It is basically the same game as last year, which is disappointing. This year though, the Association mode is playable online, so you can grab a bunch of friends and compete to see who the best at running a NBA team is.
Pros: The improvements to the streamlined My Player mode, Excellent television style presentation of games, Michael Jordan returns with several other NBA Legends, Total Shot Stick controls allows for some sweet moves, NBA’s Greatest mode lets you play in some great rivalry games from the past, Contract money in My Player mode can be used to purchase stuff
Cons: The Association mode is the same as last year., No player specific challenges in the NBA Greatest mode
