Summary: The only reason this game gets an average vote from me is the graphics and the complexity of the career mode. This game is very easy to play on any difficulty. Also when you are racing going 180+ mph, it feels and sounds like you're going 40mph. It also seemed to delete my custom paint job and sponsorships every time I tried to look at different sponsors. EA Sports didn't make a NASCAR 10 but they are making one for 2011, and hopefully its better than 09.
Summary: Average game. I have had several games in this series and this one is not a big improvement over last year's game. It's great if you are a nascar fan, but its nothing special. If you have nascar 07 or 08 don't spend the money. And if you like to drive with the D-pad this game is analog stick only, not cool for some of us.
Summary: I have been a big fan of EA Nascar games for quite a long time, and for the most part, have been satisfied with the whole Nascar experience from EA. To give an idea of my level of interest to Nascar, i have SEVERAL die cast vehicles ( over 150 ), as well as a large Jeff Gordon tattoo that he actually autographed. So for me to be negative towards Nascar 09'... i can't believe it myself! Where to begin;...
Summary: Yea I would agree its allot better than 08 was its about time EA put out a decent Nascar game. The graphics are good, but the cars all look the same and the numbers are screwed up. I cant believe EA cant make a good Nascar game I will be glad when there contract is up. I personally think that they just don't care about the Nascar game when they make it and don't really look into exactly how Nascar is or how you can operate in Nascar do to the fact of the way the game is...
Summary: I bought this game yesterday and I wish I would have selected the golf game instead. The black flags are crazy! And, do not get me thinking about the fact that you cannot play a multi-player game. Also, the custom car numbers are in the 100s, which is completely unrealistic. Easy mode is easy, but veteran mode leaves you spinning out of control! In career mode, the ride is based on your reputation, which is also crazy!
Summary: Nascar 09 has a lot of good stuff going for it, like awesome graphics, wonderful car customization* , and two different types of car to drive. The in-game guidance by Jeff Gordon, even though I'm not a fan of his, is pretty good. You truly get the feel of setting up a car by setting literally every aspect and tweak-able part of the car.
Summary: Arrived on time. I love this game, have had previous versions. The graphics are excellent, and the career mode is great. My only gripe is the change of game play EA have introduced - having to use the analog sticks instead of the D Pad for steering - it's very annoying when you've used the D Pad for every racing game for over a decade! It's not easy to get used to, and there's no option in the settings to change it back!
Summary: The Games Graphics Are Good. It Is Repetative Though. They Are Differnt Tracks But They Feel The Same. Car Lights Look So Fake However Big Let Down, Just Feels Sureal When Playing it, it is an O.K Game Though
Conclusion: I have followed Nascar for a few years now and I was warned off the 08 version buy the guy in the shop. When I saw 09 at a very reasonable price(sub£20) I thought , go for it !! After playing it solidly for 2 weeks now I am getting used to scoring and method of play and as its early days I would recommend this game to REAL Nascar fans. But give it time .
