Excerpt: The Nine-tailed Fox is a force comparable to a natural disaster. A single swipe of one of its tails can flatten mountains and reduce entire towns to smouldering piles of rubble. This is the same power lurking inside Naruto Uzamaki, a zealous young ninja who had the beast sealed away inside him when he was a baby.
Summary: Most games based on a licensed property are terrible. It's a sad truth of the gaming world, and many players have accepted this as a foregone conclusion. Licensed games are bad until proven good. Merely tolerable licensed games are the exception rather than the rule, and truly good ones are a rare find. That in mind, this particular licensed game, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 , is actually pretty great.
Review: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 (Sony PS3)
29 January 2011
Summary: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 is one of the best Naruto games out on the market. It combines a solid gameplay experience with outstanding visual design to leave a good impression on all of those who play it. It doesn’t manage to bridge the gap between fans and non-fans, but those who get into it will be rewarded well for their time and cash investment. If you’ve been jonesing for a good Naruto game, this will definitely fit the bill.
Excerpt: Physics-based adventure games are all the rage these days and the latest in a long line of titles hoping to provide this gravity defying thrill is Bob Came in Pieces , from indie developers Ludosity Interactive . It charts the adventures of Bob, an alien working in an intergalactic call centre. Yes, you did read that correctly, one of the nicer details of this title is the humorous tone it adopts.
Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is The Naruto Ultimate Ninja series developed by CyberConnect2 has some of the most enjoyable fighting game experiences I have come across. The series doesn’t have the complexity and depth of Street Fighter or Tekken, but rather focuses on giving the player a fun action-filled experience.
Excerpt: If you’re not a Naruto fan, then you’ll probably be scratching your head at this title because without the anime references, the characters and the story can be a little confusing in a weird and whacky Japanese way. But what about the gameplay? With the words Naruto and Ninja, you pretty much know that this is a fighting game and unlike Tekken, the fights are quite outrageous and fully over the top... all in a good way of course.
