Summary: PROS Fun! The feel of the bike, the way if handles and the way you drive with both joysticks is great. The graphics are pretty good. CONS Online is terrible, you can easily spend 20min trying to find a game and maybe even not find one at all. if you don't choose pro mode you won't be able to race in all tracks. In amateur theres only 2 long tracks!!!! Not enough tracks Story mode is repetitive Very few famous riders No prestige mode, or online levels aren't long enough.
Summary: Motocross racing gets physical in MX vs. ATV Alive; colliding with opponents is now a legitimate tactic rather than a cause of frustration and the action is significantly more exciting as a result. It's not all good news in this scant sequel to MX vs. ATV Reflex, though; there's no structured career mode, there are no vehicle types beyond those mentioned in the title, and there are only two event types: Race and Free Ride.
Summary: Initially I hated this game and still do hate the beginning of the game. You start off only having two outdoor tracks to race, free ride, and two stupid short tracks (a figure 8). I had to race each of the two outdoor tacks probably 20 times before I unlocked the next couple of outdoor tracks. I think this game leaves a lot to be desired. For starters, I actually enjoyed the feel and being able to scrub every jump in reflex.
Summary: An okay game but yet another franchise getting rid of a career mode with any depth and placing their emphasis on multi player. I'm not sure about the status of the publishers THQ but they last I heard the company was no more so no idea if the on line part of the game is even still live.
Excerpt: I have found myself buying a lot of the games in the MX vs ATV series over the years, not that I am a huge fan of racing games but just generally I tend to enjoy the mayhem inherent in these titles as well as the diversity. This latest title in the series MX vs ATV: Alive seemed to kind of slip out unnoticed and even though I follow the latest releases it was a few weeks before I realised this was out and I ended up paying just £17.99 for the Playstation 3 version in...
Summary: MX Vs ATV is a well established motocross series. Alive is the new instalment to the series following Reflex, does it offer anything new or is it a dead weight to the series? Reflex, the previous instalment brought many new ideas to the series so Alive has a lot to live up to. Before even playing the game the one thing you will notice is the price of the game, the RRP of the game is far lower than the usual £40, this allows you to pick up the game brand new for a very...
Summary: Graphically a vast improvement on the earlier games. The bikes are easier to control in a good way than before also. On a big downside! The content is very much lacking! No Supercross, Trucks or Buggys ect. Apparently we will be able to download certain items online when the Playstation store sorts itself out!!! Which also reminds me that the James Bubba Stewart bonus track you get free with the game is impossible to download!
