Great Game - If a Bit Outdated Now
4 September 2013
Summary: We are not a family of gamers and to be honest we have strongly resisted the urge to have TV and games consoles in our household but a family member bought our 10 y/o son a PS3 for Christmas 2012. Obviously he was over the moon so we decided to let him play driving games and the like - no FPS or Zombie Brain Splatter stuff... Anyway we bought him this game which he loves - and is good at!
Summary: the pros: you can play with two people split screen and punch and push competitors there are many different types of vehicles to choose from and the game play is simple to handle and easy to learn the cons: the graphics are not that advanced from the original motor storm and the courses are much worse.
Summary: Fun.Fun.Fun. MotorStorm Pacific Rift is a high thrills extreme arcade style racer. This is pure fun at it's finest. If you're in the mood for an arcade racer and own a PS3 buy this game. Pros - Fun - Online and local multiplayer (Take note EA) - Level Design - Controls - Custom XMB soundtracks - Challenging gameplay Cons - Murky texture mapping - Original in game soundtrack - Sound design
Summary: The original MotorStorm hit the PlayStation 3 with no holds barred. The game was an off-road racer at its core, but its heart was filled with chaos, destruction and more chaos. Oh, and also lots of destruction. While the game was great fun, it did have its share of problems, mostly with regards to plenty of waiting for content to load as well as only having a handful of tracks to race.
Summary: Excellent game, this sequel takes us to more aggressive and complicated circuits on an island where everyone will have to fight literally the first place. In this latest installment you can enjoy multiplayer mode for up to four players, is one of the reasons of interest to me . As for the graphics really do not far exceed, or almost nothing to the first motorstorm. the gameplay is as good as the first and in generally whether it is better that the first motorstorm.
Summary: Over the years the Motor Sports genre of games has suffered. Motorstorm Pacific Rift takes everything from the first and makes it better. -Pros- The game has online multiplayer that for the most part runs pretty smooth and even features on-screen multiplayer. Gameplay is fun and memorable The 'feel' to the game is quite nice with the rough and tough environment with good map design and it'll get you settled in with relative ease.
A good game to play with kids. Extreme racing action.

Summary: The two players mode allows to enjoy this game with your kids. The slow motion crash camera really adds to the action. You can play against each other or as a team in order to reach the goal as first, second or third place.
Summary: This game is unique in many ways, first off it puts you in this epic world of off-road tracks and instead of having circuits you have, Earth, Fire, Wind, Water areas with a huge numbers of un-lockable tracks and you literally race through those elements in nature. The tracks can get get confusing and the only problem I really have with the game is that it kind of sets you up to crash so you can see your car crashing in slow motion, but that said, I'm not a pro at the...
