Reviews and Problems with Motorstorm: Pacific Rift

Great game for the first half - turns into a frustrating, bitter mess due to cheating AI
7 December 2013
Summary: Motorstorm: Pacific Rift is a beautiful game. Even now 2013, the game looks really crisp with locales lush with vegetation, waterfalls, beaches and volcanoes. 16 tracks in total to explore, lots of different vehicle classes and several game modes to partake in (the online component has been shut down and therefore unavailable). The best part is that you can play split screen with up to 4 players which a lot of games do not offer anymore.
Summary: I got this used so didn't pay much for it, and I'm quite glad. I don't mind racing games, and this looked like a bit of fun. But playing it, it's not as much fun as I thought it's be. I personally found it quite difficult. It could be just me, but for my view, you just go a bit too fast through the course that you can't really tell where you're going. Compared to something like Gran Turismo, the courses/landscapes are so "busy" that the screen's very cluttered.
Summary: This game is amazing to look at !! The environments and the games combatants and vehicles all look absolutely STUNNING ! That is the best thing about the game for me....but that is where it ends !! The gameplay is INCREDIBLY frustrating !! the rubber band A.I ( if you can call it that as I see no sign what so ever of "Intelligence" !! ) will quite literally make you want to BITE YOUR OWN FOOT OFF AND BEAT THE PS3 TO DEATH WITH IT !!
Not that great, some of the different arenas are quite good.

Conclusion: The game isn't one of the best games I've played. It's okay to play it maybe every 24 weeks or something. It wasn't that fun and the game just doesn't feel fun. It's boring and I would not recommend this game.
Summary: its good but it doesnt send the racing series anywhere new? it even feels the same racing maps just jungle insteads of desert very repetative and boring when you think how big the orginal was and i think it falls into the 'makers wont take risks' catagory and admittedley with the economy no one can blame them but some have got to take risks to sell more games
Summary: I bought this game as i enjoy having a few mates over during our uni nights in and saw this game and reviews as being very fast n furious n gr8 laugh but ended being so fidgitive and annoying and repetitive that i got rid of it afte a few days. The graphics arent really great for a next gen console, the choice of vehicles are limited, the tracks are very few if any and isnt worth a price of more than a £10 Bundle.
Summary: The GOOD is the greater variety of tracks and vehicles and it is a lot of fun. I enjoy the offline multiplayer, a good addition. There are new physics which will annoy some people, I prefer Motorstorm 1 physics, but I am adapting. The BAD; you cannot backup your save data and there are some major bugs, some of which corrupt your save file.
