Summary: If I could only have one PS3 Motor Storm game, or if someone asked me which of the three they should get, I'd have to go with Motorstorm: Pacific Rift - Playstation 3 . It took all the aspects that made the first Motor Storm such a fun and gorgeous looking game and made it better.
Summary: If you are considering buying this game...PLEASE READ. First of all, the game is beautiful, and some of the stages are great. Driving under the mist and spit of a water spout, feeling yourself float as a suspension bridge collapses with you on it, are GREAT moments. As good as the game looks though, I felt something lacking. And as a motorstorm veteran, I feel I must address them.
Summary: The story isn't believeable and the vehicles aren't for die hard car fans. That being said, this game was pretty fun to play and can be addictive trying to finish first. The 3D on this game looks really good also.
Summary: It is an advance from Motorstorm and Pacific Rim, each getting successively harder. Very exciting since you have to deal with a changing environment as well as dealing with aggressive opponents.
Summary: This game is always fun to play online. I didn't like the fact that they tried to add a story. It was ok. They didn't have a variety in music like the first two. The music is what really get you going in this game. There wasn't that much variety in stages and some cars were useless because they didn't make use of every vehicles advantages. There were more concrete roads than dirt, so people barely used the mudpluggers and rally cars and some others.
Summary: As other reviewers have mentioned, this game's real strength is the online play. Campaign mode is okay, but the fun is online. Love the racing, changing environments and the cars. The only thing I would change is the server(s). I don't know much about computers, but it seems like Sony would give this game a dedicated server or something. I'm not a very good racer, most any nine-year-old seems to be able to beat me. But the game is still fun to play.
