Summary: Usually sequels in games improve with age. I recently bought a PS3 and downloaded the original motorstorm that I played in a demo years ago in a store. That demo really wowed me. I ran across this game dirt cheap..and should have done research before buying. I didn't imagine the graphics to be worse than the original motorstorm from almost 7 years ago...but they're awful. It's more of a cartoon than the realistic racing I remember.
Summary: The motor storm series is great but this game is disappointing. This is a tedious cartoon like arcade game unlike the previous series which had a nice mix of arcade and realistic driving. Don't waste your money, I got bored within a few days of game play.
Summary: This game is overall fair but the cons it has outnumbered the pros. You cannot unlock new vehicles offline which is rare for a PS3 game. This is unfair for those who dosen't have a PlayStation Account. There are little gaps and bumps that makes me wonder how I managed to crash. Like a small divider. I try to go to the middle by going over the edge and I crash, just like that.
Summary: I agree with some of the disappointed comments I've read on here. The biggest problem for me is that multi-player is now online only. How hard could it have been to make the split-screen option again? (This was partly my fault, as the other comments show there IS offline splitscreen. However, the back of the game doesn't even say that, and it isn't even in the "Multiplayer" option pane).
Summary: Yep, the title is just like the old Soul Asylum song... Frustrated Incorporated... except the song didn't suck like this game does. Don't listen to what these other 4 and 5 star windbags are telling about how wonderful and glowing this game is... it's far from it. I rented this(thank God) instead of purchasing and being on the fence about it.
Summary: Purchased this game and was excited as I was a huge fan of Motorstorm games. This game was fun at first but, after my initial wonderment and drolling over all the destruction happening on the screen wore off I saw a horribly shallow gameplay experience underneath all the glitter.
Summary: I received this game as part of my Playstation 3D Display Bundle (Great buy by the way), and I only really played it one day. I beat the first 2 of 3 parts of the game, and I was pretty much dying to put it down the whole time. First off, the game IS Motorstorm... but its not. The whole driving mechanic and all that is there, but its lost its charm.
Summary: I loved the first Motorstorm game so I bought this. 1st problem is that you can choose your car in single player which sucks because i'm not very good at using the motorbike. 2nd the cutscenes for this game are pointless. When I was watching them I thought that a immature 5 year old made it. 3rd Graphics, yes sure I admit the graphics for this game are ok but they don't even look anywhere near as good as Motorstorm Pacific Rift.
Summary: I got this game as part of the PS+ subscription and at this price its definitely worth it. In my opinion best Motorstorm since the first one, great graphics, great gameplay and great 3D gaming. Games like these are why the PS3 is best for gaming. Pros:- Graphics are amazing. Gameplay is not bad. Cons:- Can't select what vehicle I want to use Festival is rather short.
Summary: This is nowhere near as good as the previous two games. The art direction was gone cartoony, and there is a naff story mode. You now collect coins like a crappy kids game. The graphics are borderline average - compared to Pacific Rift they are embarrassing. The gameplay has been diluted and dumbed down, and i can only describe the overall experience as annoying. Avoid. Do yourself a favour and pick up the other two games if you haven't already.
