Summary: Once you get a hang of it, this game is not that much different than the PS2 versions of it. I mean yes, I loved Namco's versions better than Capcom's but this game steals some Namco feel. The real fun is online, and there are usually always people online. If you love motogp and motorcycles, I would ignore the comment about "DONT.BUY.THIS.GAME.
Summary: If you're like me - love motorcycle racing, actually know what MotoGP is (not motogR, like another reviewer said), and don't come expecting this to be the two wheel version of GT5 - you will have fun with this game. Granted, graphics aren't groundbreaking, and sounds are pretty generic (so $60 price tag must be mostly to cover the use of MotoGP trademark), but as of now this is the only way I know of to "ride" the tracks of MotoGP circuit in your living room.
Summary: MotoGP 08 brings a new dimension to the series inasmuch as, in career mode, you have to start at 125cc level and gather Championship points to develop your bike and attract bigger and better teams' offers for future seasons. The career mode is run over five seasons and it's up to the player whether you want to jump up as soon as possible to 250cc and then MotoGP, accepting less able teams, or consolidate in the lower classes before making the move to a higher level.
Summary: MotoGP 08 is a big advance over 07 in many ways. Since Capcom have taken over the making of it, there have been changes. You can now race 125cc, 250cc and full MotoGP bikes - the two smaller bikes are new edition and in my opinion they are very fun to ride and have very different feelings to each other. There is a career mode as you would expect, where you can advance through 125, 250 and MotoGP racing over a number of seasons - there is nothing special about it (eg.
Pros: Fun, career mode, good graphics, gameplay has many difficulties
Conclusion: Well this years release is nice and polished.Sound and graphic are much improved.A more enhanced career mode with a night race is a welcome addition. For such a quality two wheeled racing game its cheap as chips.
Conclusion: Well i dont know what some people were expecting, but this game is everything i hoped it would be really! The bikes are great, tracks are good and the gameplay is quality. Its not one of those games i find you can rinse for hours on end but its one im always coming back too. I also love the fact that there is no repetitive commentary and you can just hear the machine going to work!
