Fun, but not worth $60

Summary: I love Mortal Kombat. It's the game that got me into fighting games. I love DC comics. An issue of Detective is the reason I started collecting. So it sucks that this game seems to have been sold on the idea that it would sell regardless because of those two genres. Don't get me wrong, it's fun.
Summary: Multiplayer and online is great. The stroy mode is repetitive, boring, and pointless. I wish there was a different mode beside these three otherwise gameplay and online are what this game is sold on.
Summary: the game plays like an old mortal kombat game. the only new thing besides the few new moves is that you can fight while in the air falling to the next level. marvel is always going to have the best combat game(comic book wise)!!!
Pros: some of the moves from the DC side. mortal kombat is the same/some new moves.
Summary: Mortal Kombat vs DC was ok.. the story line kept my attention but the game seem to lack something.. i guess it was too short.. overall if your big on comic book characters or you dig mortal kombat.. then get this game.. oh i'd also recommend the Kollectors edition..
Summary: This game, MK vs. DCU, is great for the first three or four times you play it. But then it's like all other fight games ... it's just the same thing over and over and over. My ten-year-old said the same thing. Luckily, I bought our family a Wii and we've pretty much relegated the PS3 to playing Blu-Ray discs.
Summary: I had doubts were this was going. No M rated fatalities and the inclusion of DC characters. However its still a solid MK fighter and if you enjoy MK and DC comics it should be enjoyable for you. I just hope they dont plan to do this too often in the future and stick with the MK universe.
Summary: Well, Since I havent bought a MK game since MK II back on SNES, I figured I'd give this one a shot. (I heard it was the last of the MK series) The gameplay mechanics feel a lot like the tekken engine which is a nice change. Story: Sorta lame but, it does get you a couple trophies for the PS3 or achievements (360). You have to at LEAST play through it once just to understand whats going on here with MK vs DC. It explains why both worlds clashed.
Summary: I'm a massive dc fan so would naturally like a game like this. Its perfectly playable and not boring but I can't honestly say this is the vest game I've played. Also wonderwoman looks like a transsexual...
Summary: This game is old compared to the new Mortal Kombat 9. I just bought it as I am fan of MK games, to see how it looked like and obviously to have my own collection of episodes. It is good but not as good as MK9. For those who are not fans of MK and who are not interested in playing all episodes I suggest they go for Mortal Kombat 9. It is the best.
Excerpt: "...atmosphere that benefited the classic Mortal Kombat titles of the early nineties, the compromise is relatively well-met. It’s rather odd seeing the superheroes mimicking the gangly punches and lurid uppercuts of their counterparts however, and only really The Joker is given a truly distinctive fighting style. The music is, on occasions, pleasantly foreboding, and the environments are a definite boon. The pick of the bunch include downtown Metropolis, ...
Pros: Story mode is nicely handled; some great fighters; solid mix of moves
Cons: Fatalities; inconsistent character - balancing; combat engine is dated
