ModNation Racers wouldn’t be a bad choice to make… and there are a lot of choices to make in ModNaation Racers. All those choices might not matter to AbleGamers wanting to enjoy this game. If you’re after a karting game to revolutionize what it is to be a karting game, this title doesn’t quite do that.

Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is With the success of the Little Big Planet franchise developed by Media molecule, Sony looked to expand upon the “play, share and create” themed games. The focus of the Little Big Planet series was on the platforming genre hence this time around Sony was looking for something fresh and new to try out . Enter Modnation racers, a kart-racing game that resemble titles such as Crash CTR and Mario Kart .
Conclusion: With everything Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors does right, I only really have one gripe, and that is the difficulty. The game presents rock solid puzzles that really tax the brain in many creative ways, far from the template ‘insert tab a into slot b’ style. The problem is the supporting characters’ willingness to “help.” The longer you take in each challenge the more open they are in terms of spilling the beans on the routes through the task.
Pros: Classic adventure template that is thrown upside down to create a masterful game that becomes in itself one grand piece of a fantastic puzzle.
Cons: More free-roaming exploration would add to the experience.
Excerpt: Play. Create. Share. A simple yet eloquent development philosophy that Sony should have no trouble capitalizing on. First, there was LittleBigPlanet , and now there's ModNation Racers . If you've heard anything about this game, you know that it is an application of that philosophy to the kart racing space. It fits like a glass slipper.
Fun, customizable kart racing, but watch online voice chat.

Summary: Parents need to know that ModNation Racers is an "Everyone"-rated game for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. It is no more violent than a game of Mario Kart , with action consisting of cartoon weapons and high-speed races. There is some minor off-color humor, such as a driver who picks his nose and flings it at another driver and a scene where the commentator gives a driver a "Spock" pinch on the neck to make him pass out.
Excerpt: Who doesn't love Mario Kart? Well, OK, some people can't stand the way the power-ups mean you can be winning one second then last a few moments later. But most of us love the fact that it's a racing game that everyone can play. Whether it's you and some mates all sat on the same sofa, playing split-screen, or you against the rest of the gaming world online, something about Mario Kart has stuck, meaning the same basic formula has remained great fun for years.
