Summary: The game doesn't have a lot of the mechs everyone knows and loves that are in the anime. So don't expect to be playing in a Wing Zero or a Burning Gundam. The difficulty is WAY too hard on normal. You literally can die in about 3 hits if you're not careful. If you do buy this game, start out on easy mode.
Summary: mobile suit gundam...i remember seeing the preview for this when i picked up my ps3 on launch night i liked what i saw .. so i picked up a copy . ive heard a lot of bad reviews on this game etc..and honestly this game is a mixed bag. there is a lot of fun to be had with this one..if you just give it a chance... sure, the gameplay could be a bit faster ..but it works for gundam (this is like a sim to a degree in my opinion ) ..
Summary: I love UC Gundam. If you don't love UC Gundam you will HATE this game. It is that simple. The Bad This game was called one of the worst games on the PS3 at the system's launch, and in many ways it is. Its graphics are nothing to be proud of and the framerate is way slower than it should be. Its relatively short, the English voice acting is abysmal, and the game does nothing to help those not familiar with the source material.
Summary: ...but it lags extremely badly, and that includes taking 3GB of your HDD for "improved performance and load times". Also, even on the easiest difficulty, some parts of this game are absurdly challenging. Many people label this game as crapware, but I think overall if you are a big fan of Gundam, and are a good gamer, this game might be something you could get something out of.
Summary: I will preface this review with the caveat that I am a big Universal Century Gundam fan, which accounts for much of my enjoyment with this game. Graphically: As others have said, this is not the most spectacular looking PS3 game out there. The interactive environments help to make this feel less like a PS2 game but the overall appearance of the terrain is a little last generation. The mobile suit and mecha models are amazing though!
Summary: This game is not finished. Great concept but poorly executed. I was really upset that I had no idea what to do. No useful help or the features early on for the players to learn how to control the robots. In general the entire playing system need a lot of polishing making it user friendly and fix some bugs. Normally I give up and move on but this was the only PS3 game I had at the time. So I went through the hard way.
Summary: As the last true Gundam game localized for the West, this is a disappointment. The aiming is useless, leaving the VERY limited auto-lock system to do all the work, the frame rate is abysmal, with large drops every time a mobile suit moves on screen. The sound cut out on me at random intervals, at one point leaving me to complete the final mission in total silence.
