Summary: This game is hard to write a review for because I really wanted to see what everyone else saw in it. In a way I did. The batting is a little hard to get used to and the pitching is so glitchy. The game starts out hard, but it isn't too hard for even a casual gamer just put everything on easy and adjust the sliders and a couple games later you'll be pooling some runs and good innings, but the problem is exactly that.
Summary: Opposing pitchers never throw strikes. Batters cant hit the ball unless your timing is perfect. Your fielders throw the ball so slow that double plays and throws to the plate never work. And none of the game modes are appealing. Dont buy this game.
Summary: Sony removes servers every year, killing any hope of a lasting appeal and attempting to force you to purchase the new version. If you don't mind seeing the same error message every time you start the game and not being able to play online or obtain rosters this game is a fantastic baseball game. No wonder XBox sales are up. I've already returned this game and will not be buying another 'The Show'.
Summary: The title sums it up, but I'll explain. The hitting, as mentioned numerous times, is absurd. The amount of weak pop ups you will hit is outrageous, and getting the ball out of the infield can take half of the game, sometimes. Meanwhile, the opposing team is getting five or six hits in a row, without getting an out. At the same time, your team is committing laughable errors and just infuriating you even further.
Summary: I'm a big fan of baseball, and not that bad at video games. (Generally, "normal" is too easy.) This game is totally nuts. I spent an hour practicing at trying to hit the ball, and could not beat the worst Rookie team in baseball with the AL All-Stars. I really felt it captured the feeling of hopeless trying to break into the major league -- all from my living room.
I have played The Show since 2007 and it's getting worse!

Summary: This is not my first year playing this game franchise. I was impressed with it in 2007 as well as 2008. But each year they add more and more features and do not resolve major bugs that cause the game to crash regularly. Many people are outraged and have subsequently been banished from their online support forum, which means they cannot ask questions on how to fix their problems. The only redeeming quality of this game is that the gameplay is excellent.
Summary: First of all, let me say that the Show is the best baseball series out there. That being said, DO NOT buy this game unless you want to play online.(because you can't play 09' online anymore) If your game experience consists of RTTS, or franchise, save the cash and stick with 09'. The gameplay is worse in 10' to say the least. It seems as if they were more interested in animations than gameplay.
Summary: HEY, HOW ABOUT MAKING THIS GAME AVAILABLE FOR THE OWNERS OF XBOX 360!!! IS THIS WHAT YOU CALL FREE MARKET? BUSINESS PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS SPOUTING OFF ABOUT HOW THE FREE MARKET WORKS AND CUSTOMERS ULTIMATELY DECIDE. WELL FOR 5+ YEARS NOW PEOPLE HAVE BEEN GRIPING ABOUT A LACK OF A DECENT MLB GAME ON THE XBOX360 AND HERE WE STILL ARE. HELLO? IS THERE ANYONE THAT MATTERS READING THIS?
Summary: All i can say is this game does not even come close to any real game of baseball. After playing about 35 games, i came to realize that the game is a joke. When is a 1/2 inning of baseball consist of 6 or 9 outs..< It sure does not. A player that is batting 300+ and loses 40 points in his avg after 4 games is impossible. when he is on a 7 game hit streak.. Game play in general needs lots of work. Only thing that makes this game real is the deal tail.
Summary: Well it's sad to say that this game is so bad, i wasted the money buying this game. The game is a joke if you choose to play the cpu in franchise mode. Can't win at all-star level. Realistic game play i don't think so. Cpu get 26 strikes out in a game, cpu pulls starting pitcher when throwing a perfect game, When you control your team out in the field, the cpu gets like a 25 pitch at bat, and the next batter 30 pitches.
