Conclusion: MLB 10: The Show offers a great game of baseball that has a few rough spots, but has enough additions and enhancements to its biggest modes (Road to the Show and online multiplayer) to make it a worthy upgrade for fans and newbies alike. There’s very little reason to not get The Show over MLB 2K10 if you have a PS3 since the latter is in a rebuilding phase while the former is building upon a solid foundation.
Excerpt: (To quote a familiar broadcast-baseball call) "It might be, it could be, it is!!!" SCEA has swung for the fences with the latest iteration of MLB The Show and planted the pitch solidly in the bleachers. When the foundations are solid, there is not much else to do but build upwards. That was probably the mantra the SCEA San Diego dev team was reciting when creating MLB 10: The Show.
Excerpt: There is nothing like Spring. With Spring comes sunshine, longer days...and baseball. And no one provides Major League Baseball like Sony. MLB 10 The Show brings realistic baseball simulation and a fun gaming experience to the Playstation Portable (PSP).
Excerpt: Not many would argue that MLB ’09 The Show wasn’t one of the best – if not THE best – sports games of 2009. Sony’s been knocking their series out of the park since ’07 on the PS2, and the series has evolved into a game that can transcend into being liked by non-sports gamers.
