Summary: Finally, a baseball game with a 40 man roster! I've been waiting my whole life for a realistic game like this. Everything a GM deals with is in this game, for the most part. The gameplay still hasn't gotten me hooked like MVP baseball used to, but I think it's improving each year. I would definitely purchase this game for $10 more that the 2k version.
Summary: This game is so much fun to play. The Show gets more realistic every year and 09 took some big jumps from 08. The Road to the Show is so much better and faster to go through and play nearly a month of baseball in an hour or two. I would definitely suggest this game to anyone who loves sports. I think this game got me back into the sport of baseball. I will continue to buy this game as it continues to get better in the coming years.
Summary: I've always been a fan of baseball games and this title certainly does not disappoint. It does have some rather long load times, but other than that the game is incredible. With several different modes to go through, the replay value cannot be beat. The graphics are very life-like, and the controls are fairly easy to master. Highly recommend this game to anyone.
Summary: I never played the MLB the show series on PS3, only on the PSP. I got to say that the graphics on the game are unbelievable!! Especially on the PS3. You can play online with other players around the world with the sport connection. Build your own player and get drafted and work your way up to The Show. Overall, a great game to play if you are a baseball fan.
Summary: Played the 2010 version and its too hard. Althoug MLB 10 The Show has some new features like home run derby and others, The fact that is harder in regular season mode than MLB 09 The Show made me want to play the 09 version. Sure the newest looks better but it has a lot of bugs even playing online. The 09 version is so much fun!!
Summary: To start off the game has great graphics as most PS3 games have. Online play is a bit tricky and slow especially during the day with a slow DSL connection. But thats partly due to Playstation's free network. Regular season mode can be a bit frustrating as it involves managing the franchise. Keeping up with advertising, stadium, fans, concession stands, etc is truly too much for someone just looking to play.
Summary: Before playing this game I never really understood all of the lingo in baseball but after playing this for a couple weeks i get some of it.The only bad thing about the game is when ever you sim a game in franchise or road to the show it whether you lose or win it goes on your record.I also dont see the whole draw to road to the show when you play it you'll see what i'am talking about.
Summary: Wow, thats the first thing you'll say when you see this game in action. It really shows us what the PS3 can be capable of. Other than that its a pretty solid game. Being Scottish and not getting much of a chance to either see the real game or play it i can't really say if it replicates the sport and if all the rules and regulations are in place but it sure is fun and a damn sight better than the cricket.
Summary: Okay. I never write reviews, but I had to in this case. Like many people out there, MVP 2005 was my favorite baseball game of all time. I didn't enjoy another baseball game until The Show 08, which in my opinion is much better than 09. Here's why. I like a challenge, I really do. I don't like winning every game at all. It's unrealistic and not fun. The show 09 just makes it way too difficult. Not to win necessarily, but to play consistently.
