Summary: As a casual baseball fan, I just bought the game as a way to appease my somewhat rare craving to play a baseball video game. The pitching is fun and you can waste tons of time simply playing Road to the Show as a pitcher, but the hitting is difficult to figure out.
Summary: I think many of the people who wrote previous reviews have given this game a fair assessment. I got back into playing console games recently and picked this game up b/c it was last years game and I didn't want to break the bank on video games. As a baseball fanatic, I really enjoyed this game.
Summary: First, this is the most realistically rendered baseball game I've ever seen or played. It looks beautiful. Add to that the incredible array of customization and game play options and you could make due without playing any other game for months. However... You don't play MLB:09, it plays you.
Summary: This is literally the best baseball game I've ever seen. Graphics and gameplay are spot on (PS3). A simply sensational game in person or against the computer on my own TV. BUT online play is just awful. Tons of lag and "traffic delays" make it barely playable.
Great game if you don't play online otherwise crap.

Summary: The game looks great and all that but what if you don't want to play the computer? Online is UNPLAYABLE. I have a fast connection and I've googled about this and everybody else has the same problems. Every game you try to play online lags badly.
Summary: This is the first baseball game ever for me. Good scores from reviewers, so I bought it. First of all, this game is probably the most tough game I have played so far in a "rookie" mode. Don't think to pitch and bat and score in this mode.
