Summary: Graphics: 9/10 as far as a sports game goes this is top notch. The players are accurate to their real life counter parts, even some of their prebatting rituals. The stadiums look amazing and the crowds are fairly well all things considered.
Summary: MLB the Show games are great. But when I finally got my PS3, I needed one for cheap. I bought 08 to have The Show experience, but the online was already off. Why do they remove it as soon as the new one is out? I have EA sports games from 2006 that you can still play online. And I am writing this in 2011, about 2 years after I got it. So 2 years ago, it was offline already. It makes no sense. I got 10 when it came out- great game!
Summary: Maybe I'm just not a baseball video game kind of guy, but this game is ridiculously hard. The graphics are unreal and beautiful, and it has alll kinds of gameplay options, but just playing a game of hardball was (to me) impossible.
Summary: Great Game. Probibly my favorite out of 08,09,10. This PS3 game is a great game. Pros-- 1. Different Modes 2. Gameplay Sliders 3. RTTS 4. Franchise 5. Doesn't glitch 6. Difficulty level--perfect Cons-- 1. Rosters arn't current (I hope you know it's 2010) 2. Some players that are good today, suck in the game. 3. You always end up on the AA bench no matter how good you are in spring training in RTTS.
Summary: MLB 08 for PS3 is a alot of the last series, in fact most sports game franchises are more of the same, but MLB 08 does everything more fluidly and its overall performance as a game is an 8.5/10. It has the graphics you come to know and love in sports games and is current with trades and accurate representations of each teams performance on the field. The game is cheap and a must have if your starting out on a ps3 console as I am.
