Summary: This is a really superb collection of all original Metal Gear games ever released. The only reason why this will not get 5 stars is because the code for MGS1 is region locked to the US. But even for European customers and without MGS1, this is still a more than awesome collection of 25 years of one of the greatest gaming brands.
Summary: Does there really need to be a metacritic rating on this Metal Gear Solid collection? This kinda bums me out a bit. Also, the original playstation Metal Gear Solid and the VR missions are only digital download based. This is kinda inconvenient. Wish they were on the discs.
Summary: Contains almost every game in the Metal Gear series restored in beautiful HD. Only con against this collection is the need to separately download a few of the titles from the PS store as they are not physically on the disk. Comes with a code that gets you these games for free, but seems lazy it wasn't just included on the physical disk. Other than that no complaints, comes with many games that have never been given a review below 9.5.
Summary: Overall this is a mixed bag collection. It's fairly lazy down to every detail but it is a competitive value, especially on sale. So, if you still don't have all of these games or only have one or two, this could very well be the collection for you. If you do have the games or previous collections there really isn't much reason to get this unless you REALLY want to view the digital graphic novels. Included: 1. Metal Gear MSX (with Metal Gear Solid 3) 2.
Pros: Eight awesome games in one collection. Two graphics novels never officially released in North America. Only two discs to worry about. Includes physical Artbook and two digital graphic novels.
Cons: Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid VR Missions are a combined voucher code. So to get one you have to redeem both. Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 (MSX versions) are not stand-alone and are bundled in Metal Gear Solid 3: HD Edition just like before all the way back to the PS2 release. It would have been nice if it were a Digital, stand-alone code. Included Artbook is the size of a PS3 jewel case. So slightly larger than a manual but not by much and isn't hardcover. Whi...
Summary: If you're reading this, you're probably already a MGS fan. And if you're a MGS fan then you probably already have most of the content included in this collection. Still, that doesn't completely devalue this collection. I give it 4 stars because of the convenience of having all the games in one box. But I can't give it 5 stars because this is just an enhanced version of the HD Collection that came out just a few years ago.
Summary: Awesome collection, especially if you don't have MGS4. The only reason it doesn't get a full 5 is for two reasons: 1.) MGS and MGS VR missions are not on the disc so it breaks the cool time line menu it has. 2.) MGS The Twin Snakes should have been included. I know it is probably do to issues with Nintendo and the devs, but it really is a shame it hasn't been offered as part of this collection, it would have been a great addition.
Summary: F.Y.I. This version does not include the art book. Otherwise it was sealed and new as advertised and arrived in perfect condition. Also of note is that the Metal Gear Solid game originally for PS ONE and the VR missions are not on the discs. There is however a code provided in the case and you download them from the PS store on a PS3 or a Vita and possibly a PSP but not a PS4.
Summary: I love this series so much! So to get all the games (aside from Metal Gear Acid, Portable Ops, and Twin Snakes) It's a fantastic deal! Unfortunately I couldn't give a perfect score because this particular copy doesn't come with the art-book which did disappoint me slightly.
Summary: Metal Gear Solid Legacy has almost every single Metal Gear game besides Portable Ops, The Twin Snakes and the Acid! series. Pros + All the best MGS games are here! 8 in total. Of course if you are reading reviews for this the chances are you have already played at least one of the games so I wont say too much, but all of them are superb. +The digital graphic novels Not seen the second one yet but I do like the artwork used for the films.
