Summary: Mgs 1, 2, and 3 were amazing games but mgs4 had like no gameplay I beat it twice and the second time around I beat it only took me 5 hrs and 30 mins I just wish there was more gameplay I wanted to play a game and not watch a movie!!
Summary: If feels like hideo kojima did not grow this time. While I'm playing, ideas on how cool would be to capture and/or kill enemies in different ways come to my mind, and that means that they DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING or add new stuff...as it was suppised to happen with such a powerful engine like PS3. I was expecting a lot more, the only change to previous versions is the 3d view ( no static cameras)...
Summary: I played the first Metal Gear for PS1 and the second for PS2. I loved both of them. When I started playing MG4 I thought it was going to be awesome. Graphics and sound are great and the cutscenes are out of this world. Then after a while I noticed that while the story and everything else is great the gameplay sucks. For a next gen game the gameplay is shameful. Snake still cant climb over a box half of his height. Shooting is terrible compared to any other shooting game.
Summary: When you actually get to play the game, all is well. But gameplay is, seriously, only 20% of the full time it takes to 'play' Metal Gear Solid 4: Gun of the Patriots. Cutscene after cutsene after cutscene is really what you get; totally ridiculous. There are as many as 12 cutscenes between play at certain times during the game, and probably never less than three at any time between play. It is truely awful.
Summary: MGS 4 is a long winded story that occasionally lets you play. There has been a lot of discussion recently concerning the issue of cinematic elements in games such as Uncharted. The line is being blurred between the two mediums, and while I don't think this is a bad thing, it seems as though MGS 4 is an example of what is this issue is about. At the very least, it is a shining example of how video games are an art form as well. However, this game certainly has it faults.
