Summary: U welcome and thx for the refund Not sure what happened but our sincerest apologies accepted "This was an honest mistake and we take full responsibility. I would greatly appreciate it if you would consider removing the negative feedback but the refund stands regardless. If there is anything else we can do, please let us know. Thanks for your time.
Summary: When you actually get to play the game, all is well. But gameplay is, seriously, only 20% of the full time it takes to 'play' Metal Gear Solid 4: Gun of the Patriots. Cutscene after cutsene after cutscene is really what you get; totally ridiculous. There are as many as 12 cutscenes between play at certain times during the game, and probably never less than three at any time between play. It is truely awful.
Summary: I suppose it's obvious I am not a big fan of the series, considering how long I waited to purchase this game. But I figure anyone sitting on the fence at this point is pretty much like me, so this review is for you. MGS4 is simultaneously the most amazing and underwhelming game I have played on the PS3. It paradoxically sucks and rules, but let's go beyond that and break down what (for me) worked and what didn't. This game is incredible visually..
Summary: The headset itself is alright, it's about the same as a PS brand headset. A little more comfortable due to the foam on this one. If you really, really, really like the MGS series then I recommend this piece for a good gaming experience!
Decent Game Marred By Over-Production, Complicated Controls & Menu, Repetitious Gameplay
Twins Daddy, Amazon
20 August 2009
Summary: MGS4 suffers from a hideous and non-apologetic over-production boss that took this game over and turned it into a Blu-Ray movie that periodically requires user input...There should be a WARNING on the label. And while MGS4 is still a decent game, especially at the $29.99 price point, I've played at least 10 BETTER shooter-type games on the PS3, some even less than $20 now (Dark Sector, TimeShift, HAZE).
Summary: First, in writing this review, Amazon.com is asking me irrelevant questions: (1) How much fun is this game? (2) How do you rate this game overall? Well, I'm not reviewing Metal Gear Solid (which is 10 stars), I'm reviewing what I'd refer to as a Collector's headset, to complement the game. Headset gets 3 stars. It looks cool. And it works pretty well for the game. But it's no good for cell phone use at all.
