Summary: Awesome Graphics. Great Gameplay and Depth. Interesting Story invoking some great philosophical thought on war. Replayability. FREE Meaningful Campaign DLC (on PSN at least). At under $10 buying this game is a no-brainer whether you've played Metal Gear titles in the past or not. This game is so underrated it's stupid. Buy this game now, you will not be displeased.
Summary: Going into it, you know it's a Platinum game. And Platinum is known for balls-out action games. Boy does Rising fit right in there. The combat system works extremely well, the graphics are quite nice, and everything runs at an excellent framerate. The story might come off as trivial and dumb, but you have to go into it viewing it as a parody and deconstruction of the Metal Gear Solid mythos.
Summary: Great Game! I love it. It has great graphic, unique gameplay (thanks to Platinum Games & Hideki Kamiya!), and those who love Raiden would definitely love this game. It is not similar to other Metal Gear games as it is not a stealth genre but rather than a full action type. The control is quite challenging and to execute some movement you need great timing. For those gamers who love challenge, this would definitely suits your list.
Summary: Purchased this on sale as I eagerly await the release of MGS5: Phantom Pain. Spiritual sequel to Hideo Kojima's acclaimed Metal Gear Solid 4, Revengence reimagines the gameplay as a hack & slash featuring everyone's favorite cyborb ninja, Raiden. The game still offers up the series' trademark philosophizing but it's more cocky and cavalier, not as mournful as on the Snake side of the mythos.
Summary: Very good way to divert the series. Great score (as always), great controls (as always), great story(always), but also, great change up by letting us use raiden for the first time. His sword is an amazing tool, and the unique weapons are awesome. I'm not going to be the person to review the game and reveal the plot, rather, just tell you to buy it. And, it came on time which was great!
Summary: Really entertaining game, even if it sometimes feels more like a movie with gameplay added. Some very realistic scifi and sociopolitical commentary with a cold war perspective, intermingling with over-the-top cyborg ninja absurdity make for a great game. Very fun and often surprisingly thoughtful.
