The single-player campaign doesn't get cooking until the last two levels, but those two levels combined with solid multiplayer make it worth enlisting in the Airborne.

  • Summary: It seems you can't read a preview or review of a World War II-based FPS without hearing about how many games there are in the genre. With good reason, too--it's a crowded one. But just because there are a lot of them doesn't mean there can't be some good ones.
  • Pros: Lots of intense action, Strong online multiplayer, Levels aren't strictly linear
  • Cons: First half of game isn't very interesting, Weapons can be tough to aim thanks to excessive recoil, Lots of little flaws detract from the overall experience

I Wanna Be An Airborne Ranger

GIN
3 December 2007
  • Excerpt: For those of you who remember and keep track of such things, the Medal of Honor series really jumpstarted the popular WWII shooter genre, at least in recent years. Played a lot like the true original, Castle Wolfenstein, MOH is mostly one man going through a series of shooter missions against...

  • Conclusion: THE VERDICT: Things do tend to come unstuck towards the end of each level, and it can suddenly turn into an incredibly linear run-and-gun affair, but these short downfalls aren't enough to drag the game down into badtitude. Well done EA, well done.
