Summary: Let me start by saying that I am in the US Army stationed in afghanistan. My guys and i were looking forward to this game very much as modern warfare 2 split screen was getting old. We were horribly dissapointed to find out that there was no split screen and even more so when we found out that online is also needed for tier 1. as you can guess we dont have internet capable of online out here. So we were content to take turns playing the campaign.
Summary: I would rather play though CoD MW1, CoD MW2 and Black Ops all over again before playing this. I have yet to play multiplayer online but comparing the background graphics to CoD not even worth the time to try.
Pros: Game has great locations and can use the night vision at anytime during the game.
Cons: Polygons break. Video choppy. On occasion you can walk through your partner. Graphics are awful compared to Black Ops. Both Modern Warfare had better graphics than this game. Paid $25 for it and still think I over paid.
Summary: The story and gameplay were good. However it seems like the first person shooter genre games are getting shorter and shorter. I beat this game in about five hours and was disappointed. With as much information as blu-rays can hold, I believe these games could hold a lot more content. Plus, as much as games cost these days, there should be more content. It also seems like these games are focusing more on online multiplayer content instead of single player content.
FUN, but WAY too short in one player campaign mode
19 December 2010
Summary: This was a very realistic, fun game where it felt like you were a special ops person on a mission in Afghanistan. The problem is it is WAY too short in regular campaign mode. I have played literally ALL of the Medal of Honor ("MOH") games made, from the PS1 to current. I've always loved them all, except maybe Frontline, for either the replayability or multiplayer (the OLD "multiplayer" meaning with a buddy NEXT to you).
Summary: I was really excited from this game to come out for PS3. Picked up my copy and burned though it in an almost comical amount of time. It's way to short compared to the COD games, etc. The graphics were, good. The story line lacked something. And, the biggy. It's buggy. Freezes up from time to time so you need to go back to the last checkpoint. All-in-all, a good game, but very let down at this price point. The new COD is a much better game.
Summary: This game has a lot of potential for being a really fun game. However the campaign mode is horribly short. I travel a lot for business and do not have reliable internet connections where I go but if I am going to be gone for a while I bring my PS3 with me. This means I am stuck playing just campaign which can be completed in just a few hours. If you have the time and can deal with the frustration associated with extended online play. This is a great game.
Summary: For anyone who has played the best FPS games out there, this one won't make it on your list of the best. I'm not a heavy-duty gamer and even I was shocked at how little challenge there was to this game. I played through on the hardest setting and never ran into trouble. The very narrow linear path through the maps is also disappointing. You very quickly figure out where you have to go to keep the game going - and otherwise you hit many an invisible wall.
