Medal of Honor

The Gamers Temple
3 May 2011
  • Excerpt: I'm not going to use this space to compare Medal of Honor to Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2. Yes, EA's decision to "reboot" the Medal of Honor franchise was almost certainly born from envy for Activision's cash cow and the smell of blood in the water after Activision's and Infinity Ward's well-documented meltdown.

Medal of Honor

Strategy Informer

  • Conclusion: Medal of Honor tries to cram in every trick it can conjure up, but ultimately fails to include the kind of staying power needed to take over from Call of Duty . The four hour single-player story simply isn’t enough, and the online option doesn’t have that staying power to dissuade shooter fans from looking elsewhere. An unfortunate miss for EA .

Medal of Honor – Review (PlayStation 3)

Gametactics
4 January 2011
  • Conclusion: Does feel a bit rushed to get out before Call of Duty, but overall is a solid game. Medal of Honor definitely could be a lot better with more polish and less linear gameplay. The multiplayer portion may not be able to stand up against its competitors.

Medal of Honor Review

PlayStation Universe
15 November 2010
  • Summary: Medal of Honor re-enters the crowded FPS market with a modern war setting that will likely not shock anyone. While seemingly conflicted at its core, Medal of Honor is a refreshing break from the likes of Call of Duty, just don't expect it to have as big of an impact.
  • Pros: The realistic war setting, The easy to use and varied gameplay mechanics, Despite its flaws, the multiplayer can provide a fun and fast-paced experience
  • Cons: The overly scripted and familiar campaign, The numerous visual and gameplay bugs, The lack of overall depth to the multiplayer

  • Excerpt: Following in the footsteps of that other World War II first person shooter, Medal of Honor is taking the fight to a current wartime setting. With this revamp of the series, players will be brought into the war in Afghanistan. In the months prior to the release, I was greatly looking forward to the new release. Reading interviews and articles dealing with the production of the game sparked my interest.

Medal of Honor (PS3) Review

411mania.com
3 November 2010
  • Summary: Personally, I think the single player stuck with me more than the multiplayer. The story was more realistic and believable, and I had a good time with the short campaign. Danger Close did a good job in adding a few new features and changing the gameplay up throughout the campaign, even if most of the stuff has been found in other modern shooters. But, the shortness of the campaign will leave you wanting more when you’re done.

Medal of Honor Review

ME Gamers
1 November 2010
  • Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is Games like Medal of Honor make me feel so old. Mainly because I still remember that day me and a friend bought the very first Medal of Honor on the PS1 and went back home. I still remember it was on a holiday and we were supposed to leave the house soon. Those very first moments with Medal of Honor though proved to be too much for our little heads back then.

Medal of Honor (PS3) - Review

VGChartz
22 October 2010
  • Excerpt: World War II shooters used to be in vogue. Nowadays, modern warfare is all the rage. In many people’s eyes, Medal of Honor was perhaps the first premiere WWII shooter franchise. A few dodgy iterations later, and with Call of Duty in the ascendency, the Medal of Honor series was all but forgotten about. Flash-forward a few years and we get to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare , which was a paradigm shift for the FPS genre.
