Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

Strategy Informer
20 March 2010
  • Excerpt: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance was a cooperative beat-em-up, using Marvel heroes and villains as the ultimate protagonists and antagonists. Of course, the alliance makes the heroes overwhelmingly powerful, and something I was confused about is how so many heroes couldn’t defeat a single supervillian...

Uneasy Alliance

TotalPlayStation.com
1 December 2009
  • Conclusion: For fans of the ol' comic book hack-'n-slash, it's probably worth one more trip through the ins and outs of the Marvel universe (and with a story that makes it fairly interesting too), but it's time for the series to innovate or fade away. No in-betweens.

  • Conclusion: Marvel fans will eat this up, but anyone expecting a whole new overall may be somewhat disappointed because if you finish the first game and immediate start up this one, it won’t be much of a leap.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2

Video Game Generation
26 October 2009
  • Summary: Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 isn’t an improvement in every way over its predecessor, but it’s more of the same campy action fans have come to expect. Since fans will demand change from a great formula and complain about subsequent changes, sequels are always iffy endeavors. Why mess with what works?
  • Pros: More of the same action fans of the original know and love., Plenty of content to wade through., More superheroes to whet your appetite for superpowered team members!, Funny one-liners.
  • Cons: Many superpowers are rehashes of others., There aren't significant changes from the original game., The storyline is a bit cheesy.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 review (PS3)

HonestGamers
11 October 2009
  • Excerpt: More of the same. That’s my summary for those of you with short attention spans. If more of the same is what you’re looking for in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 , then you won’t be disappointed. For the rest of you, you can still have fun with the formula, if you have the right group of people.
