Summary: If your looking for some heavy competition between you and a friend this is a good title to pick up. Pitching and batting is as easy as a flick of the right stick. The announcers are dead on however the soundtrack that plays during menu screen time could use some work. There are some minor hiccups and glitches in gameplay but nothing to really complain about.
Summary: This was my First 2k game and i was dissapointed the grahics were not worked on enough and the gameplay was hard to understand. It is like you hit the ball or you don't, it goes far or slides 5 feeet to pither mound. It was fun for a little bit when i had tried it out but after a couple of days it ended up really boring and not what i expected at all. I was uneasy to go buy another 2k sports game afte that but NBA2k9 turned out ok other than the double achivnment point.
Summary: Well I have played both MLB 09: The Show, as well as MLB 2K9, between the 2 I like 2K9 the better for a number of reasons:The Pro's: Pitching is a challenge to learn, but once you have it down you're good to go. Also the pitching control seems much more realistic in 2K9 then it does in The Show. You have to manipulate the ball to get it to do different things with the Right Analog stick, just like a pitcher has to hold the ball different.
