Summary: Why are so many people saying this is better then The Show? If anything The Show should be re-named The Best. The graphics on this game are good...for the PS2! The uniforms look stuck to the players. What's all that about. Gary Thorne and whats his name keep repeating everything. If you're pitching a no-hitter in like the 7th inning an easy fly ball isn't even caught. When you hit the ball makes this loud, fake BAM! Get The Show unless you have a 360.
Summary: If your looking for some heavy competition between you and a friend this is a good title to pick up. Pitching and batting is as easy as a flick of the right stick. The announcers are dead on however the soundtrack that plays during menu screen time could use some work. There are some minor hiccups and glitches in gameplay but nothing to really complain about.
Summary: This was my First 2k game and i was dissapointed the grahics were not worked on enough and the gameplay was hard to understand. It is like you hit the ball or you don't, it goes far or slides 5 feeet to pither mound. It was fun for a little bit when i had tried it out but after a couple of days it ended up really boring and not what i expected at all. I was uneasy to go buy another 2k sports game afte that but NBA2k9 turned out ok other than the double achivnment point.
Summary: where am I?I really cant believe these completly wrong reviewers. They now have a patch for the game but come on.Your all just 2K haters with your ooow ea and sony people. This baseball game is really awsome and I have 2k7 and I was playing now and --no,no,no.MLB 2K9 is the best baseball game made to this date 1-16-10.If you want to know a 2nd place its not the show, its world series baseball 2k3.I'm right and there are thousands that agree with me and thousands that are so...
Summary: First, I just want to say this is a very poor made baseball game. If you compared this to MLB 09 The Show, nothing is as good as The Show. Anyway, the camera angle is nice. When you are pitching it is actually just like what you see on TV. However, when you are batting the camera angle is not the best. For me, sports games have to have the broadcasting experience, so the camera angle has to be good; for 2K9 it just does not feel real.
Summary: Well I have played both MLB 09: The Show, as well as MLB 2K9, between the 2 I like 2K9 the better for a number of reasons:The Pro's: Pitching is a challenge to learn, but once you have it down you're good to go. Also the pitching control seems much more realistic in 2K9 then it does in The Show. You have to manipulate the ball to get it to do different things with the Right Analog stick, just like a pitcher has to hold the ball different.
