Summary: EA Sports missed the mark with this new installment of the Madden franchise. It just wasn't an enjoyable game. The whole Connected Careers thing- it sucked. As a coach, you couldn't change anyone's position or number or anything! Also, too many glitches for my liking...sometimes players jump like 15 feet in the air for the pick. #unreal. The only good part was graphics. So, do not buy this. Madden 25 was way better.
Summary: ok for madden 13 they tried to make the game really realistic well they focused so much on how real it was that the game modes sucked like connected careers offline was worse than superstar for madden 10 wii and you can no longer make a team or play mini games plus it's not really that realistic like when the players go back to the huddle they look like they are going in super speed and sometimes they get their arms caught in really akward positions and finally the issue...
Summary: madden back in the playstation 2 xbox era was the best sports game hands down. in 2005 madden was in the top five games easily. it was the most realilistic sports game. but as time has past other sports titles like say my favorite game mlb the show and nba 2k have went all in and hit home runs and became better than what madden had to offer. mlb the show became the number 1 sports game. nba 2k has just cleaned house.
Summary: It did not live up to the hype, that is for sure. Connected Careers turned out to be a major bust, because you cannot edit players, and the whole format is just...ugh. If you are thinking about buying Madden 13, you'd get a better game at cheaper price with Madden 12.
Summary: The franchise mode sucks, the graphics are awesome, and the controls are better than 12. But without the franchise mode all the game is good for, is playing one game at a time with a friend. If your wanting good controls, and you want to play a whole season, get madden 10. It's still the year to beat.
Summary: ah well - the franchise mode is gone :( you now have to start a "career" as a coach to simulate that mode. The game play is alright - I reverted back to the old menus instead of "game flow" to be honest - I love the game, but I'm also very disappointed - they turned it more into an arcade/on-line play type of game. I really loved the franchise aspect, simulation, building teams, being the "GM".
Summary: This game isn't of all the quality it's hyped up to be. I played and it and for whatever reason, the controls were so unresponsive. The game was going by really slow. I don't think I'll buy it after playing it.
Summary: Next year for Madden 14, please restore franchise mode back to the way it was in Madden 12. I am not one to complain but when I've been playing Madden since the ps1 days then I have the right too. Commentary A plus, Gameplay A, graphics A plus, Franchise aka Connected Careers D plus. I understand the whole need to change but franchise was changed for the worse. I can go on and on but bottom line "please" restore the franchise mode.
