Summary: I bought this game along with NCAA 2012 to get some sports games on my PS3. I played the game for about 25 minutes and immediately decided to sell it back. The graphics are not very impressive, the camera angles are annoying sometimes, the game-play is choppy, and they reintroduced the one button kicking system.
Summary: I LOVE football...played 12 yrs. I watch college and NFL games as much as possible. I know football inside and out. I have played just about every football video game title dating back to 10 Yard Fight. And the best one to date has been 2K5. On to the Madden 12 review... Madden 12 is so bad I actually halfway kind of like the game bc it makes me laugh so much. I crack up when a LB or DE can one hand catch a bullet pass off balance.
Summary: My main gripe is on offense. The wide receiver hardly ever catches a deep ball and most of the time the defender picks it off. I play on all pro, so I guess as you increase the difficulty, the receivers get lazier and the defenders turn into lebron james with their incredible jumping ability. Also, pass interference is never called even when the receiver is clearly bumped past 5 yards, and I end up with a INT or incomplete pass.
Summary: No love. This madden is terrible. It's a completely different system from madden 10. Every pass is contested and it's very easy to throw interceptions and get sacked on all-pro. If u can master this game and it's new system, kudos to u but i just couldn't adjust. I am done with madden. Fun game to watch but playing it gives me headaches. even audibling out of plays have changed.
Summary: I am very disappointed to say Madden 12 is totally awful and (for me at least) makes me sick playing it because its just such a let down. I've only been playing madden games since 05 on the gamecube (which was one of the best in my opinion, it had a lot more features than any madden since then.
Summary: This is coming from someone who held off buying the last 3 Maddens and GLAD I did. I purchased this Madden only because it was the closest roster to my team without being $60 down the drain.. I ended up with only $30 down the drain. The Good: My team is there.. Completions. The Ok: Music,Menu, visual presentation in some areas. The Bad: I would say the whole game if not for the above mediocre bullets. AI teammates are horrible, dumb out of the ordinary moves.
Summary: Each and every year I tell myself that I'm done with Madden. And what do I do? I get suckered in and buy it. But this is the last time, I traded it in, this is the first time I ever traded in a Madden game. I remember playing the franchise mode with every single NFL team, and having a blast. This game has consistently went downhill for years. The franchise mode sucks, plain and simple. I couldn't even make it through week 8, I just couldn't take it anymore.
Summary: Not going to go into too much details. But same year same EA Madden BS. Dbs jumping routes and going through players to get interceptions. Blocking in the game is a joke and non existent. Only thing good about this game is the Graphics are amazing EA always delivers in that dept. But if you want a true great game of football keep looking. Oh well all pro football 2k8 will stick with you. SMH Every year Madden doesnt deliver.
Summary: I have played Madden games since the SNES era, and for some reason I keep forgetting that the last version of the game disappointed me and I go out and purchase the next Madden anyways. EA has put such little effort into improving the game itself, but I can almost guarantee that they will put a lot of effort into securing another exclusive license with the NFL so they can continue putting no effort into the game.
Summary: If you were a fan of Madden 11, I recommend you save your money and continue playing last year's version. Although the graphics and gameplay got a bit of an upgrade for '12, there are so many flaws to this game, that it is more frustrating to play than it is enjoyable. I have been a fan of this franchise since the 90's and I honestly cannot remember being more disappointed with a season with exception to 2006 when it first came out for the next generation consoles.
