In 08 the NFL superstars are called weapons, bringing a new strategic dimension. For ex, Smart DB’s can be outdone by Smart QB’s, Spectacular Catch WR’s can be beaten by hard-hitting defenders. It may sound complicated as every position has about two different forms of a weapon but this is an advantage as with the more weapons the playing strategy is better. The new Hit Stick 2.0 controls bring more freedom with the hit stick. Tilting up on the stick means a blow to the upper body, and by tilting downward, a blow to the lower body. Some reviewers find that the moving option is no different than it was with its predecessors on the PS2, Xbox, and GameCube. However most reviewers agree that these new weapon techniques are amazing and can actually give you insight into what the other team is doing; and also has a fantastic effect on how you play the game.
