Summary: If you remember when Madden 2001 was released for the PS2, the game was still much better on the the PS1 simply because it was on the console for several years and the bugs were worked out and the gameplay was smooth. Seems that history has repeated itself in making the shift to the PS3.
I have to agree with the general opinion of this Madden

Summary: I'll start by stating that I was a big fan of the Madden games until I played Sega's NFL 2K5 on the PS2. After EA bought the exclusive rights to the NFL games, I was rather peeved. Madden 2007 for the PS3 just enforces the reasons for my dismay.
Summary: If you're looking for a game to play head-to-head or don't care about Franchise mode, the game will be fine for you. The graphics are great and the gameplay is good for head-to-head mode, but everything else about the game is really, really bad.
Summary: I have been playing Madden '05 on my PS2 for 2 years. It's super fun to play and has great graphics, etc. I bought a PS3 and of couse the first game I grabbed was Madden '07. What a complete dissapointment. I expected something great and what I got was a step back.
Summary: The main thing that got me on this game and i so regret buying it is that you can't hide your plays when you are playing 2player....thats so disappointing....they better fix this on the new madden game or i'm never buying another madden game ever!!!!
Summary: I should have rented this title first before purchasing... I'm dissapointed with this new version of Madden. A lot of features found from 05 or 06 are not included. Here are some of the negatives I found so far. * The controls are different.
Summary: Mediocre at best. I'd actually rate it at 2 1/2 stars. I like the graphics, but the gameplay is not all that "smooth". If you havn't bought it yet I'd wait until Aug and get 08. Hopefully they'll have it worked out by then. I definately miss the hot routes.
