A real breath of fresh air which provided plenty of wow! moments. Pitty its way too short.

Excerpt: Vanquish is a 3rd person sci-fi shooter from SEGA. You play as Sam Gideon, a DARPA agent, who fortunately has been given an "Augmented Reaction Suit" - basically a semi-robotic suit of armour. The game takes place in a city in a huge revolving cylinder orbiting Earth. Unfortunately some Russians have taken control of the city and are threatening to destroy the USA with the solar energy the orbiting city harvests (you couldn't make this stuff up could you???).
A fantastic title well worthy of any shooter fans' collection!

Excerpt: This honestly is an absolutely brilliant title and well worth playing for anyone into sci-fi shooters! There are two versions of this game, Lost Planet and Lost Planet: Colonies. The Colonies game provides new multiplayer maps, with new weapons and also allowing the player to play as Akrid (the enemies within the game)! The story is set on a hospitable planet called E.D.N. 3 and the original settlers are chased away by the insect-like Akrid.
It's not completely essential, but it's a great game.

Excerpt: When screenshots of Vanquish emerged, you didn't know whether it would be a fun and action-packed adventure or just another common game where you shoot everything in sight. However, it was hard not to anticipate it with 'legendary games director' Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, Ace Attorney) joining Platinum Games, who is the developer of MadWorld, Infinite Space and Bayonetta.
Excerpt: I found the graphics of this game very good especially the cinamatics. the story line was also interesting and i found the machines and the different types to be very fun and really made the game good. overall a good game to rent.
Excerpt: Personally I didn't think much of this game, I found the controls too clunky and the game just seemed to lack atmosphere. I don't think this stands up well to other recent ps3 releases I've played e.g. Condemned 2, COD4, Rainbow 6 - now those are quality games.
A good game, but not an incredible or ground breaking one.

Excerpt: Lost Planet: Extreme conditions is not exactly a new game, but it does have incredible graphics, and an intriguing storyline, even if it is slightly repetitive. The graphics cannot be faulted, they are incredible. Everything from the fur to the snow looks high resolution, high end graphics, giving the game a definite sense of realism, even if occasionally it did cause the console to stutter on some cutscenes, which is fairly odd, but fairly rare, at least.
Excerpt: I Purchased this game after reading reviews in the games magazine i buy each month, and it did live up to the reviews of 4 out of 5 it was awarded. As soon as you start playing the game you are placed in a battle with a huge alien life form boss, which sets the scene for the rest of the game.
