Summary: The game has really good graphics and sound. The story is top notch and interesting, but the pace of the game, the guns and the side missions are really boring and repetitive. I just couldn't finish the game. If you love the Dead Space series, trust me, you don't need this one on your collection, just stick with Dead Space. I bought this game thinking that it would be something like Dead Space, but it is nothing close to it.
Summary: I liked the first Lost Planet, the second was OK for a multiplayer game, but the third is so long and trudging I just wish I had stuck with the first one. I do like this game and its plot gets better as it goes along, but it takes so long to get there and there's just a lot of maintenance work and walking around to do before things happen. This really could have been a great arcade platformer but it just got too lost in banal busywork for me.
Summary: So sad. Way worse than the first two games. At the beginning, you will watch more of a movie and play during that movie doing useless time waste. They improved on the grapple, but took away any jumping. After playing the first two games, I literally gave up after 1hr of watching stupid clips I couldn't get out of to play the game. On the second note, the second game was obsessed with stupid trains, and was very short.
Summary: LP3 is a nice little shooter. First person and 3rd person gives a nice break from the same old thing. Nice planet, a little limited, not a complete open world. The locations are nicely done and the life forms are really well done. Lots of critters to shoot and story lines running throughout. They did a really nice job on the sound effects.
Summary: It's an OK game, not enough late game content to keep you doing the side quests though. I am a bit disappointed that i have made it through the most of the game with shotgun and assault rifle, and the lack of addition upgrade to certain guns past 1 upgrade sucks. The mech is great...
Lost planet? More like lost gameplay and lost audience
11 March 2014
Summary: There's added story and presentation, but minus the excitement, fun gameplay , action, variety of the lost planet 2. This game is boring, dark, and a downer. The series is totally lost (pun intended) and confused now. They go back and forth on style of gameplay to recover ratings and sales but end up confusing the audience. Lost planet 2 was one of the best games on ps3, critics hated it, sales weren't great, so they switched the game to rip dead space.
Summary: I love the Dead Space series, played all of them. I did play LP1 and LP2 and never really gotten into it. So when I heard that this plays like DS I was really looking forward to it. So I got it used cheap for like 10 bucks and spend about 2 hrs into and it ain't like Dead Space. No scary factor and the weapons are quite weak. Not sure what the story is about and I really don't care. Probably not going to finish it.
