Summary: Though a number of aspects of LOTR: Conquest are flawed and frankly the the campaign leaves a lot to be desired, the multi-player aspect of the game shines through. Many happy hours of my childhood where spent in frenetic LAN parties, we considered ourselves to be Conquest pros! Though technically flawed Conquest is a blast to play with friends.
Summary: This was a really fun game for Lord of the Rings fans. My fiancee and i play the two player stories together. It only takes us a couple of hours to beat both 2 player campaigns. It's not a very long game but it is still quite fun.
Summary: There are many good things about the game. Pros: Controls are smooth and easy to use. Storyline is enjoyable, if you like LoTR You get to play as a lesser character in the background of major events in lotr. Instant action allows for custom battles. You get to play as both the good guys in one campaign and as the bad guys as the other. cons Both campaigns are extremely short, (It would teach call of duty a thing or two about short campaigns.
Summary: It has been far too long since a quality Lord of the Rings title launched. Which is a huge shame, considering the novels basically started the epic fantasy genre, and the Peter Jackson movies were phenomenal. After the great RTS series Battle for Middle-Earth, none of the action follow-ups have lived up to the series' legacy. War in the North has recently come out, so before I jump into it I want to give a full review to Conquest.
