Excerpt: Downloadable for £1.99 via PSN, we're not sure LocoRoco Cocoreccho is a game at all. Sony has called it an interactive screen saver, but we'd say it's more like Lemmings, except without the danger, so you can just put the controller down and trip out, if you were so inclined. Fans of the first LocoRoco game on the PSP who were hoping for more of the same will be disappointed.
Excerpt: First Impressions My reaction is When the PSP hit the gaming scene one of the first games that came bundled with it was LocoRoco. Players had no idea what the game was about until they sat down with it for a few hours and surrendered to its addictive gameplay. the objective was simple – lead a couple of dancing colourful blobs around a level until you get to the end, while avoiding the few evil ‘Moja’ (floating Bob Marleys) scattered around the level.
Conclusion: LocoRoco Cocoreccho is a very very fun game to play that happens to look beautiful on my Gaming HDTV in full 1080p resolution. It has some great functionality with the SIXAXIS controler the song the little LocoRoco sing is just too cute not to like. It would be cool of Sony decided to make more levels for this one, but since it only cost $5.99 at the Playstation Store, you really can't complain too much about how short it is.
Summary: While the game isn't as deep or involving as
some other titles, LocoRoco more than compensates through its sheer charm and
coolness. Its simple, accessible controls means gamers of every level and stripe
should be able to jump right in and enjoy the gameplay without too much effort.
Its unique look and level designs are a sight to behold and the simple, yet
sophisticated graphics leap right off the PSP screen.
Conclusion: LocoRoco Cocorrecho! is the perfect package, easy to pick up but hard to master. If you haven’t already downloaded this game then at two pounds you can’t really be excused for not trying it out. For what it is, for what it sets out to do, I’d say the game was almost perfect. A shining example of what all mini-games should be and the most fun I’ve had with motion controller to date. Make a point of getting this game as soon as you possibly can! What more can I say?
Summary: The bulbous, bouncy blobs known as LocoRoco are back, though things are a bit different this time. The tilting mechanics of the original PSP title have been replaced with an interesting new control scheme, and the minimalist gameplay is even simpler this time around. But really, it's all about the agreeably goopy globules that spread charm across your screen, and it's hard not to be taken with them.
Pros: Watching the LocoRocos sing and bounce is wildly entertaining, Quirky, colorful visuals, Awesome soundtrack tune
Cons: But it's the same tune as the PSP LocoRoco game, The single level can be finished in a couple of hours
Excerpt: When LocoRoco Cocoreccho was first announced for the PlayStation Network as an ‘interactive screensaver’ (lol wut) we weren’t that surprised. How could something so irresistible and loveable like LocoRoco be anything but slightly bizarre?
