Review for the casual gamer using PS3
9 February 2015
Summary: First off, you should know that my husband and I are casual video gamers so we are VERY selective about the games we purchase and play. In general, we like games that do not take themselves too seriously, have clear goals or steps to follow, include puzzles that require some thought but are not overly-challenging, can be played in front of children without worry of the content, and are more enjoyable than stressful to play.
Summary: My kids love the Lego Pirates of the Caribbean and enjoyed this one just as much. It is great that they got the voice acting on this one because it would've been nice on the Pirates game. It is pretty much what you except from a Legos game. The only real issue I have with it is the loading times. It can take some time between the loading screens. Overall, great fun for the family.
Summary: It's a great game with many levels and tons of quests in the open world area. I would recommend it but there are a few things that made it more difficult to play than the Hobbit game. For instance when 2 people are playing you can't call up the map without disturbing the other player. The map come up full screen instead of on only one side of the split screen. Things on the map can also be hard to see as it is not adjustable, it can only be zoomed all the way in or out.
LEGO series, mildly addictive puzzles, many hours of entertainment.

Summary: Like most of the LEGO series of games, this is a cute, fun, and mildly addictive game. Get ready to spend MANY hours searching, planning and working out puzzles. At worst, maybe look up a guide once or twice to pass levels. It could be a great aid for teaching ADHD children, but you must also be engaged with them keeping them occupied and concentrating on the game for longer periods than they normally will. If you like this title look up LEGO Batman 1, and 2.
Summary: Super fun game! I love to play this game with my kids. One of my favorite things about the Lego games is that when you die you respawn right there and don't have to go back to the beginning. That can be so frustrating!
Summary: I love the Legos games. I also love the LOTR sereis. This does a great job following the story line and allowing you to play as if in Middle Earth. It's fun, easy and a decent purchase. I have played it twice and enjoyed it each time.
