  • Summary: Fun for kids. I've fallen asleep a bunch of times playing it by dropping out so my pal can play.

Almost too big?

Chester Keasberry, Amazon

  • Summary: I love Lego games because they're linear and simple. Most of the games I've played have been able to reign in the player, and given that these games are often geared toward younger players, I've come to expect smaller, more focused worlds. The first few Lego games based on Star Wars were great because they brought you through the story while allowing you to explore areas without feeling like you'd get lost if you ventured about.

Constant Freezes!!! Frustrating!!!

Sandra Schmidt "6459sandra", Amazon

  • Summary: I love the lego games. I was sooo excited for "The Lord of the Rings" game. I play on a PS3. I love the game, but the constant freezes make it sooooo frustrating!! If you like the Lego games, you will love the story and play. But...the game does freeze over and over and over...and the saves take a long time.

Great game, hours of fun, hours of lost work due to glitches.

  • Summary: I have purchased just about every LEGO game starting with the PS2 SW leading up to this edition of LEGO LOTR. Great games the lot of them. They are just fun to play for all ages. I am 26 and I greatly enjoy playing them with my girlfriend. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to has any doubt. It is good clean fun. With that being said, let us cut to the chase. Maybe with DLC for the old games the glitches will go away.

Too many glitches to have any real fun

Ashlie Hathaway, Amazon
24 November 2012
  • Summary: I love the Lego video game series and I'm a huge fan of The Lord of the Rings. Needless to say I was thrilled to find out that Lego was releasing a combo of these two. However, there are so many glitches (for the ps3 version at least) throughout the game that it makes it almost impossible to get through even one hour of game play before the game freezes. I can't even restart my ps3 safely.

The one ring

2 April 2014
  • Summary: I've played other lego games, this one wasn't my favourite. The character changing wheel really annoyed me. But other than that it's a very long game. If you like getting trophies this is a good game for you.

Fun

  • Summary: A thoroughly enjoyable Lego game featuring the full trilogy of the Lord of the Rings. Complete with the original voice cast for characters. One downside I found was that the game glitches frequently after completing the main quest. This has severely ruined the gameplay for me. But if not for this then I would have given this game five stars.

So Close and Yet So Far.

Hagier, amazon.co.uk
20 March 2013
  • Summary: I've been wanting a Lego Lord of the Rings since the very first Lego Star Wars came out all those years ago. But after countless Lego Game entries I finally get my wish and its not very impressive. The game itself is good and fun to play but it is also quiet boring at times, not really offering the much high intense action from the previous Lego games and too much walking.

its okay

  • Summary: Load, cut scene, run for 10 seconds, load, load, load - get bored then load a bit more. then play. This game is true to the lego format, there is loads to do but I just got so bored waiting for the game to load so that I could play it. So the game went back on the shelf.
