Acab

M. Dixon, Amazon
18 August 2014
  • Summary: I was misled. I'm about half-way through this game and no one told me beforehand about all the violence against women and sprinkles of anti-black racism! Why do the 1950's have to be recreated with this and Mad Men and other garbage?

you can give this one a miss.

the disaffected english major of record, Amazon
10 May 2013
  • Summary: Unlike other Rockstar games that have unlimited gameplay, This game is too short. you can finish the story in just a few hours, and there isn't much variation between playthroughs. I would like to see a sequel done more like red dead redemption.

Crashes at this on level...

Johnny, Amazon
16 March 2013
  • Summary: The game was getting pretty fun, but at the third or fourth level, it always crashes. I have tried everything that is possible to fix it. I have restarted the console, unpluged connection to the internet, and even deleted all the saved data for this game.

A great idea with bad execution.

Gargus, Amazon
15 July 2011
  • Summary: I grew up loving the hardboiled detective film noire types of movies so when I heard about this I was quite excited since it was right up my alley. Sadly though the end product is nothing like it could have been. This is basically a snooze fest disguised as a game.

Missing fun factor.

MCRC, Amazon
30 June 2011
  • Summary: I didn't think I'd mind that this was an "anti-GTA" game- I like games that do new and different things, but the more I played, the more I found that I just wasn't having any fun playing it. The story wasn't interesting enough to keep me motivated to keep playing.

Give it time

Jennifer Clarke, Amazon
29 June 2011
  • Summary: Most people who reviewed this did it shortly in. Not seeing all its flaws but focus more on the "new" facial features from real actors.(Cool I admit) That really is all the game has. Searching for clues and trying to read people. The story plays out the same no matter what you do.

L.A. Noire... Trapped in the past.

Walter J. Maslowski, Amazon
29 June 2011
  • Summary: Since the days of the Atari 2600 I've always said that compelling game play is far more important than high quality graphics. Then I played Red Dead Redemption last year and it changed my mind. The movie quality graphics of that game made it the closest thing to virtual realty on a TV screen.

Less of a game and more of a long animated mystery novel

Melissa Meade, Amazon
13 June 2011
  • Summary: 60 dollars. Hmm. 60 dollars. What is worth 60 dollars? A really good bottle of bourbon. A hot concert ticket An awesome video game that takes you hostage for 72 hours and then when you're done you can shelve it for 6-12 months and then play it again. L.A. Noire is not worth 60 dollars.
