Dangerous Fun, Cheap

GIN
13 October 2010
  • Excerpt: I don't often play "just for the fun of it" games, but when I find one I like-such as Plants Vs. Zombies-I tend to fight on its behalf for years. Recently, I was casually browsing through the demo list on the PSN, when my interest was piqued by a funny looking cartoon man in a jumpsuit and a crash helmet. The ensuing experience led me to enjoy and ultimately purchase the Hello Games title Joe Danger, which is a motorcycle racing extravaganza.

Admired by many yet equally regarded as crazy individuals who have a penchant for risking their lives for the sake of fame and grandeur, they endeavor endlessly to put on a show for their adoring public. Joe Danger is one such daredevil and he together with his motorbike will put on a spectacular show for you in the self-titled game Joe Danger, released on PSN in early July.

Joe Danger - Downloadable Accessible fun for many

ablegamers.com
17 July 2010
  • Excerpt: The game sets up the story with the opening video - you’re Joe Danger, a former big-name stuntman whose intent is to become the stuntman he once was. This video is very well subtitled. The font is a large white with black border. The subtitles aren’t as clear as they could be, but that’s not to imply that they’re illegible. They could be improved with either a different font style, or maybe spacing the letters a little bit.

Joe Danger

Gaming Evolution

  • Conclusion: With a decent length single player campaign filled with challenges to complete and trophies to unlock, Joe Danger is a surprisingly fun and enjoyable game for the price. As with any game that offers a level creation mode, the replay value is endless and for just a few bucks- that’s not bad!

  • Summary: Bouncing here, there, and everywhere, Joe Danger is at once a delightfully old-school stunt-racing experience and something entirely new. From the joyous presentation to the sounds of panic as Joe drops into a shark tank, it is almost impossible not to love Joe Danger and his enormous cheeky grin from start to finish. The game's charm belies deep, challenging, and rewarding gameplay that will keep you busy and grinning for many hours.
  • Pros: Great visuals, All-pervasive sense of fun, Variety of challenges, Frustration never sets in even as the difficulty ramps up
• Cons: Limited track-sharing options, Stripped multiplayer
