Summary: When I first put in this, I thought it would be another stupid game that has nothing to do with the movie. But actually, I was wrong. In my opinion it isn't the best bond game out there, but you can tell it tried. The thing I hate most about this game is that you can't explore or open closed doors. Everybody keeps saying that your enemies will not take cover but when I play they do. The graphics looks like they didn't even try.
Summary: Ok so you pick up Quantum of Solace expecting it to be a great game. You play the first level and you love it. Thats how I felt. The second level the same and then I got a little shaky. First of all you do the same thing each level. Sneak around and shooting. Its fun at first but then you realize I've been doing the same thing throughout the whole game. First of all the game doesn't have any intensity.
Summary: A very short game. There isn't really anything to rave about with this game. As Bond you just kind of go around shooting a.i each chapter. You do not get to drive. They did well not spoiling the movie, and they do a throw back to Casino Royale with a mission. The game was a little upsetting. Rent the game, don't do what I did and buy it. Unless you are a real die hard fan, then this will fit perfectly in your collection.
Summary: When I first read about this game coming out and read that it used the Call of Duty 4 engine, I was excited. I imagined a game taking all the cool elements of James Bond's universe going into CoD4. I consider CoD4 to be the BEST first person shooter I have ever played . Needless to say, when you claim you are using the CoD4 engine, you should put out a game that plays pretty much 99% like CoD4. This is not the case!
007 Quantum Of Solace Ps3 Video Game Review (23.11.11)
23 November 2011
Summary: I have been a fan of the James Bond series since I saw The World is Not Enough at the cinema in 1999. Although James Bond video games have tended not to follow the films in recent years (From Russia with Love (2005) being the first to use a Bond film for the basis of its plot since The World is Not Enough on Ps1 and N64 (1999), 007 Quantum Of Solace is unique in that it uses 2 films as the basis for its plot (2006 film Casino Royale and 2008 film Quantum Of Solace).
Pros: fun, graphically stunning
Cons: difficult to learn controls, short, doesn't provide value for money as long term investment
Excerpt: "This Game Is an fairly average shooter nothing really spectacular Poor AI in my opinion no flanking will camp and shoot from cover.Fairly short single player campaign with the addition of casino royal to prolong the story line works really well, End of level bosses can be fairly easy challenge and not really satisfactory.Although this is a first person shooter works really well with the 3rd person cover veiw.Graphics Can be a little poor with scenery ...
Summary: I got this in October and already have completed it. If you want to get this for on-line then I will have to warn iv had trouble with doing that. Its not a game i'd recommend to any other fellow hardcore gamers because lets face it its a game made from a film. Also if you don't have internet on your console and like having split screen death matches then don't get it.
Excerpt: "Bond games have certainly been really really bad. It's left most of us thinking to ourselves 'was Goldeneye a fluke?' and perhaps it was. The fantastic multiplayer was tagged on right at the end of production after all. Maybe that's why there was no Casino Royale game upon the films release, or perhaps the action was just too sparse to make an action game from. You can tell it was going to be hard to win me over with Quantum of Solace, but to be fair ...
Pros: Unique and interesting multiplayer, different gameplay elements save it from repetitiveness
Cons: Fairly poor graphics, too simple, can be extremely easy
