Not terrible, but definitely not spectacular

Keith Laubhan "KeithLaub", Amazon

  • Summary: Just a standard issue FPS. Not terrible, but definitely not spectacular. I absolutely adore the James Bond world, but outside of Daniel Craig's voice and the soundtrack, this just as easily could've been a generic spy shooter. Would have loved more flavor from the film series to have found its way into the presentation.

  • Summary: James Bond 007: Blood Stone is a solid game, it's nice looking and enjoyable, but isn't unique. Decidedly average but definitely better than the average movie-based games out there.
  • Pros: Good graphics Voice acting by Daniel Craig and Judi Dench* Some good action Multiplayer included Excellent soundtrack
  • Cons: *Somewhat bland and phoned-in voice acting Short story mode

James Bond 007 in You Only Play Twice

  • Summary: With MGM teetering on the edge of bankruptcy and the 23rd Bond movie looking increasingly distant, things were kinda bleak in the James Bond world in 2009 and 2010. Happily during that time we got two new James Bond video games, a reimagining of Goldeneye on the Nintendo Wii and this, James Bond: Blood Stone which released on the PS3, 360, PC, and Nintendo DS. Both games feature the likenesses and voiceovers of Daniel Craig as Bond, James Bond, and Judi Dench as M.

COMPLETED IN TWO DAYS... NOT MUCH FOR REPLAY

Evan Foley, Amazon
17 February 2011
  • Summary: Again looking for something that would perhaps stack up to Goldeneye 007 for N64, I read some good reviews for this game, and eventually got Bloodstone for Christmas. I was pleased to see that the controls were similar to Resident Evil and previous Bond games on the PS2. While I was sucked into the storyline, I completed the game in an extremely short period of time.

not bad but not great

  • Excerpt: So we have the release of yet another Bond game alongside the release of a movie not really that surprising with the franchise these days. I enjoyed quantum of solace and so had higher expectations of this game than the last. I'll be honest I have enjoyed it and feel it's a decent game but was slightly dissapointed with the more of the same approach with regard to the game play.

This game is like a stone - it's nothing special.

  • Excerpt: "Since the outstanding 007 game known as Goldeneye, various producers and game makers have attempted to create a game that surpassed the classic, all to no avail. Blood Stone is another one of those games. However, i believe that, although the past few 007 games weren't as good as Goldeneye, i still think they deserve a good amount of praise for what they do well. The question is, does Blood Stone have anything good in it? We'll just have to see. One ...
  • Pros: Solid and entertaining gameplay, Felt like a 007 movie
  • Cons: Some annoying driving sections, Nothing truly unique or exceptional, A bit Repetitive

Fun, but flawed.

masterliberator, Amazon
30 March 2011
  • Summary: I had fun with the relatively short campaign in the game, but there were few missions that I actually wanted to go back and replay afterwards. In my opinion, the multiplayer is absolutely awful, and is less a game of skill, and more seeing the other player before they see you, though that may be to somebody else's taste. I enjoyed the game, but you may want to rent it first!

007 Blood Stone (James Bond Blood Stone)

  • Excerpt: Very short. Graphics have highs and lows. Voice acting is superb. Story is quite good but it doesn't finish - it really feels like only half a game.
