Blood Stone 007 (PS3) - Review

VGChartz
1 January 2011
  • Excerpt: Think fast! When you think 'James Bond video game', what genre comes to mind? Probably first-person shooter, right? Well, Activision recently served that market quite well with their remake of the classic GoldenEye . However, some of us sometimes like to actually see our favourite suave, sophisticated secret agent as he mows down bad guys and makes time with the ladies.

007 Blood Stone

  • Conclusion: If Blood Stone was a legitimate Bond film, it would be Die Another Day: formulaic and forgettable yet still sexy and entertaining with some standout driving sections to boot.

  • Conclusion: It's tough to recommend Blood Stone 007 to anyone but the most loyal of Bond fans, and even they should consider passing on this at best very average 007 title.

James Bond 007: Blood Stone Review

PlayStation Universe
9 November 2010
  • Summary: Blood Stone puts the world's favorite spy in a series of action and chase sequences that are exhilarating, but sadly they aren't enough to save this otherwise flat title.
  • Pros: Huge Hollywood-style action sequences, Driving can feel exciting, Bond has some brutal takedowns
  • Cons: Overly formulaic and choreographed segments, No real gadgets, Tacked-on multiplayer

James Bond 007: Blood Stone

Empire Online
4 March 2011
  • Summary: Ian Fleming's immortal vision of testosterone is now starring in a new outing that's bypassed the big, silver screen, opting instead to try and cripple the windpipes of gamers who relish big explosions, fast cars, and faster women. Activision teamed up with UK Project Gotham devs, Bizarre Creations to whip up a fairly decent 007 duck-and-cover third-person shooter on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

James Bond 007: Blood Stone review

Gameplanet
4 November 2010
  • Excerpt: There's no question that Blood Stone ticks all the boxes for any Bond tribute. But is that "she'll be right" attitude really what you're after?
  • Pros: Voice acting is superb, and as full immersion in Bond's world the title is convincing.
  • Cons: There's really nothing to elevate it from any other 3PS next-gen title. The enemy AI is predictable, the weapons are underpowered and the game is repetitive. Bond deserves better.

James Bond 007: Blood Stone

neXGam
4 May 2013
  • Summary: Ein neues James Bond Abenteuer ohne passenden Streifen im Kino?
